Responding well to the results the other day. Although most of the growth was the addition of Snaitech - in fact it would have been a decline without it of course, there seems to be a feeling that they have steadied the ship and the Asian business may not fall much more, or as fast in the unregulated markets. There may be further costs reductions as well. 80% of the business is now regulated, so perhaps there is less scope going forward for shocks. Famous last words – it’s very cheap though, whatever way you weigh it up. Games

Latest PTEC news and commentary When I posted my first post this morning, I was torn between viewing it as a need for PTEC to have more resources and an opportunistic disposal taking advantage of Plus500’s high price (albeit lower than it has been). I agree that the Plus500 commentary indicated that there could be some retracement of the sp, so maybe it was a good time to sell. Today’s >5% drop in their sp is probably a result of PTEC’s announcement, but the next couple of weeks will indicate if they can regain the level PTEC obtained, if not then it was a good move on behalf of PTEC’s Board. PTEC’s SP has now fallen into negative territory, but that may be more a reflection of the continuing overall market decline,

Latest PTEC news and commentary Bow, maybe the timing was pretty good. Looking at the information below it looks like the 93% gain in Plus500 this year may have been a one off and some of the sirectors (founders) of Plus500 concur. Probably better for Playtrech to focus on the software side of the business and derisk the debt at the same time, especially as the cost of borrowing seems to be on the rise : “”"" The news of Playtech’s share sale comes after Alon Gonen, Gal Haber, Elad Ben-Izhak, Omer Elazari and Shlomi Weizmann, all founders of Plus500, said they planned to cash out 8 per cent of the group’s shares, at the same price of £15.50 each. They said the decision “reflects their desire to diversify their investments whilst raising funds for personal reasons” and came “in response to significant demand from a small number of institutional investors”. Plus500 posted blockbuster results for the first half of this year, helped by a jolt of market volatility, and booming trading in cryptocurrency derivatives. Net profits almost tripled while revenues climbed 147 per cent. But it warned investors that the “exceptional” performance was a one-off that was “unlikely” to be repeated. It is also facing pressure from tighter European regulations related to highly speculative products, which came into force last month and may affect almost a third of its revenues.""" Games - Not a gamer or a gambler mesen, but like the idea of providing tools for companies that support the game.

Latest PTEC news and commentary PTEC sells out of Plus500 [click to see RNS] I am unsure that this move is positive for PTEC. The sale price is well short of its peak level, and it seems to be moving back up again. Although it generates a nice sum, it does look as if PTEC might be in need of the cash which is hardly positive. There is so far no sign of a concerted improvement in the sp level, in fact it looks more likely to continue on its downward spiral. PTEC.png1224x896 72.6 KB

Results 2018 Interim Results [click here for RNS] The market appears to like these results, with the sp up over 4% so far this morning. Maintaining the interim dividend despite a substantial reduction in net profit seems to be promising, as is the increase in revenue (all be it fairly small) against the reported backdrop of market conditions in Asia.

Latest PTEC news and commentary It seems the Directors have been buying a little, according to today’s RNS, but there is no sign of a reversal of the major drop of a few days ago. I think it is going to need a lot more than these small purchases to influence sentiment. ptec 4.png2880x2198 169 KB

Latest PTEC news and commentary Bremen - splendid place, I had a pint of Becks only the other day, went down a treat. Better than the German football team in any case ! Games

Latest PTEC news and commentary @Gamesinvestor1, Actually I prefer Bremen, having lived there for about 15 of the past 42 years. I never actually visited Berlin. However, if I was to live anywhere else it would be Thailand, since we recently bought a retirement house there. Am off to do some gardening there next week.

Latest PTEC news and commentary Bowman, I’m not having any negative Brit remoaners in my Berlin flats, it would seriously lower the tone of Prenzlauer Berg. However a positive free thinking, low/no tariff trading Brexiteer would be more than welcome, at reduced rent even lol!! Games – Just winding you up there m8 (no I’m not Tim Martin)
