Arris Pace - Brazil dates (RTTNews.com) - ARRIS Group Inc. , a provider of media entertainment and data communications solutions, announced that its proposed acquisition of Pace plc (PIC.L) has received preliminary approval from Brazil's competition authority CADE.The company noted that the clearance is expected to become final on December 19, following Brazil's mandatory appeals period. When finalized, the approval in Brazil will complete the merger-control clearances required for the transaction.ARRIS expects to close the transaction in early January 2016 following the Brazilian clearance becoming final and the sanctioning of the scheme of arrangement by the Companies Court in the U.K.The clearance follows unconditional merger clearance from the Portuguese Competition Authority and pre-conditional clearance in Germany and South Africa. In April, Arris agreed to buy Pace in a stock and cash deal valued at $2.1 billion (£1.4 billion). Arris expects the deal to be accretive to its adjusted earnings by $0.45 to $0.55 per share in the first 12 months following close.

Arris Pace Deal Price Conversion Currently Arris - Pace deal equates to £4.47

Norman Barrington 02 Dec 2015

Re: Current Share Price No Pace is lagging, but far less than before. See my previous post where exact equivalent would have been £4.50 Pace actually stood at £4.43 a modest discount. Perhaps xg will resurrect his daily price conversion again for us hangers on.

Current Share Price Is the Pace share price now exactly following the Arris price?Ie if the deal was concluded at the current price we would get no benefit of hanging on?S

Re: Arris rising nicely I confess I thought ARRS might be a little more stellar than so far, however it just touched the magic figure of $32.64 = PIC @ £4.50. Happy days with Pace up 10%

Pleasant Afternoon Just sitting watching this never thought numbers flashing on the screen could be so much fun[link]

Re: PIs exiting Xg don't get me wrong - my point regarding Cisco / Comcast is that the former don't want the competition of a larger arris/pace combo whilst the latter do not want their choice of supplier reduced. I am not saying it WOULD happen, I am simply saying any hint of a white knight would instantly boost the sp of PACE. I dont think any of us wuld mind that, except the PIs that continue to bale out (O trades) in the 1000 to 5000 range whilst the AT trades are mopping up.

Re: PIs exiting xg, Cisco / Comcast? Are these mega companies going to show their interests now?

Re: PIs exiting Cisco or Comcast - I think the DoJ would open a New File on that possibility and it might not end so well. The additional time I cannot contemplate either!!!Let's stick with Arris now and watch what happens with the Shorters on both sides of the Atlantic.£5 by the close of trading today???Would be something and not impossible only 20% increase on the start SP and it has been done before.Greed is Good!!!

Norman Barrington 02 Dec 2015

PIs exiting I see a lot of "O" sells in the 1000-5000 range this morning. Sells currently outweigh buys by 600000 to 100000. When this calms down Subject to this afternoons ARRS reaction, I expect another hefty upward push before the day is out. Crazy as I must be, I am resolutely sticking with pace as things stand. What fun if someone like Cisco or Comcast make a counter bid to protect themselves!

Congratulations To all who have struck with this, (myself 18 years on and off) we have certainly needed to grit our teeth many times. Those of us who wish we had sold at the original takeover peak, need not kick ourselves too hard. Consider the so called "professionals" AKO and their current predicament! The only down note I would add, is that if the PIC BOD had not played hard and fast with the price in order to facilitate this cheap take-out, we ought to have been sailing way above this, even at the current stage. I personally have had to fight hard to counter their tricks, and would not be sitting so pretty had I not bought even more at £3.20, and some previous dips. Not meaning to brag honestly)Arris should be interesting this afternoon. I have been using [link] To see what's in store. This link offers realtime and after-market prices too. Many of us may be using the link more in the weeks to come.Once the dust settles, perhaps a good few of us will post on the Arrs BB. To those who make a swift exit, I for one.fully understand, but best wishes to all.

Re: DoJ for your amusement Lol XG ! Re the DoJ announcement. Was this after the US markets closed ? As if it was there should be quite a movement of Arris this afternoon ! Thanks for all your hard work and constant faith ! R.
