Re: Does anyone know the answer The company does not own and operate all their sites. For some partners, they just provide the machinery.

Does anyone know the answer Photo-me has the advantage of being an entirely cash business. Anyone using their photo booths, printing booths or washing machines must pay cash in advance of using their services. Once paid the service is immediately provided, so sales and cash received for those sales effectively happen together. But if you look at the company's latest interim statement, this shows 'Receivables' (debtors) of just under £25 million. How can a cash business be owed neatly £25 million? There is no detail in the accounts. Does anyone know what these 'receivables' are?

Stockopedia view Share price: 180.75p (-3%)No. of shares: 376.5 millionMarket cap: £680 millionInterim resultsThis vending machine operator (photo-booths and laundry units) issues results for the six months to October 2017. The results are in line with expectations.5a2e80619545aPHTM_20171211.PNGI've written positively about this company in the past, on the basis that it was being managed well, was shareholder-oriented with heavy dividend payments, and earned impressive margins. There has been a worry about people taking selfies for passport photos and driving licenses instead of using a photo-booth. The response has been positive, as the company works with various European governments to encourage the use of photo-booths rather than self-taken pictures.E.g. today's report informs us of the following:In the UK, positive conclusion of discussions with Her Majesty's Passport Office and of the testing of the new online passport service; E-passport photobooths being rolled out across the UK, from mid December 2017.With the photo-booth sector being mature and low-growth, emphasis for growth is now firmly on the laundry side of the business. The number of laundry units is up almost 50% over the past year, and revenues per mature unit are rising, too.(to be continued later this afternoon)[link]

Re: Why.. Every trade has two sides. If you sold then somebody else bought. I found the following attempt at an explanation online."Understanding the Direction of a TradeThe direction element of the time and sales is often the cause of much confusion for new traders. The reason for this confusion is that every trade must consist of both a buyer and a seller (otherwise there would not be a trade), and if there are both a buyer and a seller, how can a trade be classified as either buying or selling? The answer is that the direction of a trade is decided based upon how it affects the current market price. If a trade helps the market price to move up, then the trade is classified as a buying trade. Conversely, if a trade helps the market price to move down, then the trade is classified as a selling trade."

Re: Why.. I think the algorithm that determines whether a trade is a buy or sell is generally very unreliable.J

Re: Why.. Thanks for congrats on gain............. assuming they (that is, LSE site) are showing the trades correctly, I spotted a few hours after selling out my holding, 3 sell trades which had a combined total of nearly 2 million shares. The reason I question if the 3 big trade buy/sales were showing correctly, as the same site recently showed a sale I made on another stock (which was the sole trade that day) as a buy? It had too be my trade as it was for a very exact odd number (not round hundred or thousands).

Re: Why.. Could be a new broker starts coverage with 1.90 target although dated 6th September.06 Sep 17 Kepler Cheuvreux Buy 167.50 - 190.00 Initiates/Starts[link] Well done Medway Man on your huge gain - Hard sometimes to sell when things spike higher as there could be more to come. I seem to get criticised when I sell or reduce a winning holding and they do say run your winners as much as possible. I would have still kept some shares in case they decide to break out and can achieve a share price above 2.00 but each of us have to be comfortable with our decisions so well done and it's banked in real profits rather than paper.atb

Re: Why.. As I was showing a gain of £5000+; have sold entire holding and will re-buy back in at a later date if price drops down. Just seemed to good an opportunity to sell, as it significantly outweighed what I would have got when the shares go ex div on 12/10/17.
