News at last!!! Max Petroleum says AGR Energy to invest $13.8 mln in co 13/07/15

Re: What gives? I think if you replaced the word 'Greece' in the news with 'Max Petrol' then that would explain their situation. Hanging onto with their fingertips but the mysterious family that was going to save them have taken a massive step back. They are waiting for a miracle or for someone to put them out of our misery.

Yes it is. we have all been kept in dark. forever with this share. the pain is never ending. four months of negotiations. with no resulting progress. Avin a giraffe.

si derman 06 Jul 2015

What gives? 6% up and 600k vol? Thought this was suspended?

griller 05 Jun 2015

Re: Could be all three. but the silence is weird and must be awful for those who still hold. Nothing since the suspension and only the suspension since the March announcement of attempted restructuring. Presumably Sberbank have been told by the Kremlin to take no prisoners when it comes to Brit companies in deep debt since the debacle over Ukraine and now London's pathetic attempts to use FIFA's paternalism as an excuse for taking the 2018 world cup away from Russia. The Bullingdon brigade would do themselves a big favour if they used the resources of HMG to defend the interests of thousands of ripped off shareholders who count themselves now as victims of globalisation.

anyone spoke to tom this week?

Nunquam 18 May 2015

Yes I agree I think we are shafted, another oil company bites the dust.... I would be nice if some of the regulators supported small PIs.

character 6 18 May 2015

Could be all three. Personally. I reckon we are shafted. Even if a deal is done, with the low production rates (plus the depressed oil price) it will be aeons before Max are able to drill again in any sphere. As many of you will know. Max and Roxi were the names of the bent Australian chap, who got Max into the brown stuff, many years ago. Who rode to the rescue? M.Young. Nuff said. Even deeper brown stuff.I considered jumping ship as the SP"s crossed (circa 4p) and instead bought more Max.Now I"m (to complete the trilogy) drowning in the brown. We will see but I consider all is lost. Good luck to you all. C6.

In reply to rjordan12003 -Using figures from the interim results for 6 mths ending Sept 14. 2900 bopd @$55 pb = $159,500 income per day. Cost of sales (less Depreciation, depletion and amortisation as I'm only interested in Cash at moment) was 49% of Sales or $78155 per day. Admin was 8.9% of sales so $14195 per day. Therefore, $159,500-$78,155-$14195=$67,150 cash per day. That's a surplus of $2,014,500 per month. These are cigarette packet calculations of course. What this tells me is that this company is far from dead. It is only debt that is the problem, sort it out and this company will survive and prosper. I've only got 85,000 shares as I thought "what the hell" and plowed a huge £140 into the stock. If things do sort them selves out this is going to be a traders dream and I will be in with more money; if it was trading at the moment I would definitely have a further punt.
