Share price matters...in discussions (negotiations) with current & prospective customers, partners, employees & investors. Management, thus far, has refused to do the one thing that optimizes the share price...provide transparency into goals & progress. This is doubly important when the trust is gone. No one cares about the promise of 2018 if we don't believe we can survice 2014 & 2015
IBM deal...what do we really know about the IBM deal? We know that are paying them ~$275M over the next seven years. What else? Do we know what services they will provide? In what geographies? How much software development are they doing vs. us? At what price are they charging us to use employees after they are transferred? What is their incentive to market Monitise 2.0 software? What are the implications for our finances (revenue, cost)? Is this an exclusive relationship for mobile banking, payments, commerce? Are they motivated (incented) to deliver Monitise 2.0 on time? Inquiring minds (owners) deserve to know!
Sad & unfortunate! If only management had been more forthright about the strategy, expectations & progress; perhaps we would not have had such armageddon with our share price. They provide the minimum & do so only grudgingly. They can rectify this any time. They should do so for their employees (they are shareholders too) if not for the external shareholders. Perhaps this is the difference between managers & leaders!!!
RE: IBM buyout...I hope that we 'the best partner' for IBM so that we preserve the Plan "B" option where IBM buys us out. Hopefully our Board of Directors considers Plan "B" when & if it is appropriate
We live in interesting times...it's a war out there in mobile money. Let's hope our rugby star is up for the challenge and is as much a team player as he proclaims. We'll need the entire leadership team aligned on the strategy, working together as a team delivering our priorities; Monitise 2.0 development, winning key customer business, ensuring flawless deployments & communicating progress (operating metrics). We'll know much more over the coming months with "material press releases" (per EB), annual meeting, investor days. Alternatively, we hope the Board is considering Plan "B"...sale while our assets still have value
BTIG said it well...share price matters! It matters to current & potential customers, partners, employees & investors. Share price is effected by both real & perceived performance. Our current leadership team does well with the 'real'. They have work to do with 'perceived'. In order to be successful as a Show Me company (per EB), they will need to provide all stakeholders with more transparency with progress (vs. expectations) on; development of Monitise 2.0, business development, deployments & adoption (banks, retailers, registered users).
We're starting over! As all recent analyst reports have stated, we'll be range bound at these low'ish levels until we hear about progress (vs. expectations) regarding; Monitise 2.0 development, business development, deployments & adoption (banks, retailers, users). Sadly, we are starting over with a damaged reputation. Fortunately, the reputation can be quickly rebuilt & sustained with flawless execution & persistent communication. As BTIG stated; share price matters to current & prospective customers, partners, employees & investor perceptions. Great leaders proactively manage those perceptions.

Just watched Leon C segment on Bloomberg again. In short, he was not happy about the negative surprise. Hey management...share price matters! It matters in discussions with customer, partners, recruiting & with investors (including employees).
Analyst rating upgrades are nice...but, nothing like news about progress with Monitise 2.0 development, business development, deployments & adoption metrics (# banks, retailers, registered users, transactions). We will be range bound well below analyst targets until we see tangible proof of progress
