NEW ARTICLE: Why Landore Resources just rocketed 272% " We already knew that LSE:LND:Landore had struck gold at Junior Lake, but the size of the discovery and the ease with which it can be mined has just sent the sleepy share price rocketing as much as 272%. Previously focussed on unloved nickel, the ..."[link]

Bigger Picture Trust you are all well..Imho this is looking like a free Nickel play to anybody who is interested.Once Mr H and the team work out with more drilling work out how far the gold stretches (open both ends)Cheap set up cost's to get a leaching pad in operation cash to really go and drill the nickel. It's a no brainer and the radar its buzzing.Looking very interesting as to how much gold we have time will tell.Well done L.N.D.As always stay dry ride the wave !!!!!

Re: Significant.. should do 50% plus today I would have thought· SIGNIFICANT GOLD DISCOVERY: Follow up drilling on the BAM East Gold Prospect, reported March 14 2016, has established the presence of a significant gold discovery. The gold mineralisation remains open along strike to the east and west and down dip.

Very much alive [link] many years, it’s been all about the nickel for Landore Resources Limited (LON:LND). The company has made great strides at two major deposits at Junior Lake in Ontario, to the extent that Bill Humphries, Landore’s chief executive, reckons they will be ready for a development decision by mid-year.Much depends on the nickel price though. In recent years nickel has been very weak, and the current price of around U$8,700 per tonne isn’t far off the five year low. With that in mind, Humphries takes the view that renewed strength is likely within the next couple of years, and remains upbeat that the US$13,000 to US$14,000 per tonne level that it would take to make the two Junior lake deposits really pay their way isn’t that far off.In the meantime though, events at Junior Lake have taken an unexpected, but welcome, turn.In the final round of the most recent drilling campaign at the B4-7 nickel deposit, a geophysical target two kilometres east of the known mineralisation was tested, with the idea that it might turn up more nickel showings.Instead, what turned up was gold. This isn’t altogether surprising, as Humphries explains. “Junior Lake is a polymetallic property,” he says.“We’ve been concentrating on copper and nickel for some time, and we’ve been dedicated to advancing the nickel projects, but in the meantime, as we’ve been drilling on the greenstone we’ve frequently hit gold and sometimes at quite high grade.”Indeed, at the Lamaune deposit, which was subsequently spun out of the company, Landore hit as much as 130 grams per tonne gold; elsewhere at Junior Lake intersects running as high as 35 grams have been reported over the years. What makes the latest hits different is the potential scale. For a start, this intersection runs across more than 30 metres and grades just over 1 gram per tonne. Not bonanza grades, maybe, but across that kind of width, certainly attractive enough to consider a bulk mining scenario. There were also higher grade sections within that wider intersect, including 3.7 metres at 4.21 grams. So far so good. The question is: how big could this newly mineralised zone be? We won’t have long to wait for the answer. Five further holes have now been drilled in and around this initial intercept, and the results should be available next week.Early reports are that the drill holes have all turned up similar material to the first hole, although it would be premature to second guess the numbers. At the moment Landore is talking of a new mineralised “zone” rather than of a discovery.Even so, you can sense Humphries’ excitement. He’s found gold projects before that went on to become mines, and he knows what he’s looking at.“That’s good material,” he says. “If it does come up it’ll be a heap leach deposit. We’d go in there and move it fast. It’d be low capital, and it will pay for the development of infrastructure for the nickel operations.”On the whole there appear to be very few downsides. The next results will come in, sampling and trenching work will continue, and Landore will then consider when and where to initiate another round of drilling to flesh things out. Rigs are already on site. Humphries just has to give the command

Re: Ardiden [link] cuts a tidy cash and royalty deal on Root LakeShare 06:59 10 Feb 2016Landore Resources is to sell its Root Lake lithium project in Canada in a cash, shares and royalty deal with Autralian-listed company ArdidenLandore cuts a tidy cash and royalty deal on Root LakeLandore is one of the few juniors still drillingIt’s a telling statement that Landore Resources (LON:LND) was one of only two junior mining companies that undertook any drilling in Northern Ontario last year.Northern Ontario is one of the world’s great mining destinations, hosting as it does the Sudbury and Thunder Bay projects amongst others, and has long been a stomping ground of Landore’s Richard Prickett and Bill Humphries. In a former life they were there with Brancote too, a company they sold 15 years ago in the first significant successful mining transaction that took place on the Aim market. This time round, the focus has largely been on the Junior Lake area where Landore has been methodically working up the B4-7 nickel project to the point where it now boasts nearly 2.7 million tonnes of ore at 1.24% nickel equivalent in the indicated category. But Landore also has several other projects both in and around Junior Lake and dispersed more widely across the region.Which brings us to the second of the two companies that found the wherewithal to undertake drilling in Northern Ontario last year: Ardiden (ASX:ADV).Ardiden is Australian-listed but has lately demonstrated a serious intent to build a portfolio of lithium projects in Canada. It also has shareholders in common with Landore, so it was perhaps inevitable that the two companies would come together at some stage. In a deal announced on 10th February Landore has announced that it is to sell the Root Lake lithium project, which lies more than 400 kilometres away from Junior Lake, to Ardiden in a cash, shares and royalty deal.Ardiden will pay an initial non-refundable C$50,000 deposit, plus a further C$150,000 in cash on completion, C$150,000 in Ardiden shares, and the granting of a 3% net smelter royalty. What’s more, the value of the royalty has been underpinned by an agreement that Ardiden has the right to buy back half of the NSR for C$1 mln.“This is a very good deal as far as we’re concerned,” says Landore’s Bill Humphries.“The asset is non-core for Landore. It needs to be drilled and enlarged and we don’t have the money to do that. And Ardiden are dedicated towards lithium. It’s win-win.”The C$50,000 in the bank helps too, in a market that is no longer friendly towards junior miners. Not that Landore has ever seriously struggled for funding. It has several key backers, including its own directors, and knows when and how to cut its cloth according to market conditions. The most recent raise took place at the end of last year and should take the company a long way forward in 2016, certainly to the point where a new resource for B4-7 can be released to market in the summer. For the time being, it’s perhaps unhelpful that the nickel price is languishing. Then again, it’s worth noting that Landore hasn’t actually got any nickel to sell yet.“It’s the price in two or three years’ time that really matters,” says Humphries.Share Alastair Ford
