Re: Sells ? One more thing I forgot to add specifically in response to: " so surely you are not basing your investment decisions today on the random warblings of some pseudonym on a bulletin board (cheap-champagne-woman) ? " No, fundamentals first and foremost for me. But LG was kind enough to share via email some details of how target prices are arrived at, so I now have an understanding of where the (sometimes crazy-sounding) numbers come from. I'm sure LG has a more refined system, but what I know so far I'm finding very useful indeed. It's not a 100% accurate system, what system is, but time and time again LG has been proved spot on. Yes, I'm a fan. All I can say to the doubters is Ignore at your peril. Right, I feel like I've started to take over the KCOM board so I'll give it a rest...

Re: Sells ? Sorry bill I was not refering to your conversation with Jonny but your reply to lambrini girl earlier...about kcom shares being worth 32p ! (after she said 40p)....both figures are bonkers if you ask me ! Would you tell us how you arrived at that price ?

Re: Sells ? " Bill...I have to admit I'm warming to you you old charmer... but may I ask...if you have been involved in the stock market since the 80s then you have a wealth of experience behind you... so surely you are not basing your investment decisions today on the random warblings of some pseudonym on a bulletin board (cheap-champagne-woman) ? "Truegent, my previous post was in reply to Johnnygibber - it crossed with yours as I was typing/doing other things. But just to add, I'm primarily a value/dividend investor. So KCOM is interesting. I always base my investment decisions on firstly, fundamentals. If the numbers don't stack up then I don't invest. End of. But if I like the look of the company and I think it would be worth investing at a lower entry price then they go on my watchlist. Then I look for the right entry point, which brings me back to my previous post a few minutes ago.

Re: Sells ? ...And for the record, IMHO, this is a Sell.

Re: Sells ? There are fundamentals and technicals and frequently they are not correlated. The fundamentals of KCOM are good. That's why this is on my watchlist. There are umpteen different technical indicators/tools but they are all pretty much backward looking. Have you ever seen a share price move down on good news or fall several percent for no apparent reason? Or vice versa? And asked yourself why? There has to be a reason, right?Read LG's posts and you will start to understand why. No system is 100% right all of the time but LG's is right more than most, by far, and is the only system I know of that can predict price points sometimes months in advance and sometimes, not always, but sometimes, to the penny. LG sometimes comes in for a lot of stick from a vocal minority, but if you read enough you will understand why (hint - losses because they didn't listen/bitterness/anonymous keyboard warriors/etc).If anyone thinks they have a better system then speak up because I'm all ears. One more thing, even if you want to dismiss everything I've said, look at a ten year chart for KCOM and you should easily be able to see the share price is now in a descending channel, and has been for approximately a year. Chances are the price will rise within the channel, and then fall again. Repeat several times and the chances are that this will end up significantly lower than where it is now (79p as I type). Please don't take any of this as advice. Do your own research and make your own decisions.Good luck (sincerely) to all, whatever you decide. I won't be gloating if you lose money because I've been there and got the T shirt, but I will pop back to make a post when I eventually buy in to KCOM.

Re: Sells ? Johnny, you may call me what you want, as long as you don't mind me calling you Durex?I first invested in the stock market in the early eighties via a financial advisor who thought it would be best for me to put my money into unit trusts. Turned out it was only best for him... I'm still learning and still making mistakes, but I get it right more than I get it wrong so as long as the trajectory is pointing up then I'm happy. At least now I'm lining my own pockets rather than someone else's.Ah yes, LKH in Davos. I noticed that too. He arrived there on the Gulfstream G550 that he doesn't have. A bit like his boat that doesn't exist... I have said on several occasions that I'm happy to be proved wrong about his global travels but alas not a shred of evidence is ever forthcoming. That's why I never pay much attention to anything he says, as amusing as it sometimes is.Bill

Re: Sells ? PS..Freb...may I call you Freb ?? as its nearly correct...have you made up with LK yet ?He's off to visit Davos apparently..hope he's careful with all those Daleks..JG
