Melrose expects that the Offer will become wholly unconditional by no later than 19 April 2018."If you still hold GKN shares on the 6th April, you will also receive the 6.2p/share divi.Personally, I'll sell just after the xd date.

Melrose purchase timetable? GKN held online via ii. Weighing up pros and cons of selling now in the market now at a discount or ..... Can I still sell now to Melrose under the offer, if so at what point would I get the Melrose shares and 81p cash, and would I lose the dividend if I did so before the ex-div date? At what point does the offer go unconditional and are there any advantages in waiting till then?

Re: GKN up to ........... Agree Kingel, had I been a GKN holder I would have seen this as yet another failure of the board. Anyway, having been a Melrose holder for some time I have always been impressed by how professional they are, rapid decision makers and doing everything they can to improve companies. It’s what companies should be doing as a matter of course.

All over GKN announcementAccordingly, the Board now recommends that, in the event that the Offer is declared wholly unconditional by Melrose, shareholders accept the Offer, as the GKN directors intend to do in respect of their own beneficial holdings. The Board of GKN now intends to work with Melrose to ensure the success of the enlarged company, in the interests of all stakeholders, including employees, customers and shareholders.
