Re: Company buying up Yellow Cake Yes I saw this also. Just one of a number of positive indicators that suggest we may be at the start of another rally. I'm more confident that it wont fizzle out this time as the futures market is showing a positive upward trend and Utilities are buying at the increased spot price. Its ironic that the gains I've made here have almost been cancelled out by my large holding in VOD whose price has been falling right up to XD date ( highly unusual and likely to be further downside once it goes XD tomorrow) Oh well the Lord giveth .......

Company buying up Yellow Cake I read in the FT about company taking a position on rising price of uranium. I thought at time of reading article that it should boost GCL SP price and it has FT articles a fiddle to link to so here is Telegraph article:[link]

Net asset value GCL's net asset value is falling again and currently is standing at 18.10p.Casa.

Re: GCL issuing warrants Thanks Tyland1,Got email from my broker company at 16:30 Today about 'Geiger Counter Ltd - Bonus Issue of Subscription Shares' . I see that 13 Dec 2017 is date that is used for NAV then subscription price +5%, +10% and +20% for years 2018, 2019 and 2020 of that NAV.

Re: GCL issuing warrants Rhigos,If you are an investor in GCL you should have recently received a letter offering 1 subscription share for every 2 ordinary shares held. These shares confer the right to subscribe to one share on exercise of the subscription right and payment of the subscription price at the end of November 2018, 2019 and 2020. The subscription prices were agreed today:[link]

GCL issuing warrants In today's business section of Telegraph, Quester column has an article on GCL. In it they state GCL "issued warrants to existing shareholders", first I've heard about this. 'investors can buy additional shares of the trust on a "one for two basis" ' it goes on to say 'these shares will have a "strike" price of the net value asset value of the underlying holding per share - on the day'.'The deadline for being eligible for this offer is Dec 13, meaning anyone buying after this date will miss out. This warrant issue may be another reason for recent share price rises'Would have been nice to know about warrants offer before deadline!Earlier in article they state that fund is very small at only about £20m. They also explained that Kazakhstan acts in the uranium market like Saudi in oil and has cut production. Article states that demand for uranium exceeds production. I believe this is possible because of all the spare uranium as a result of nuclear arms reduction.Despite Quester sell recommendation I am holding on for the long term. I would like to do a hold recommendation but new screen layout hides that option behind banner "Factsheet News Duscussion Chart..." etc

Re: Wildly Incorrect SP Agreed. I do not like new colour scheme, probably because I do not change.Article in Telegraph, Quester about GCL. Recommends selling. Will post more with subject GCL issuing warrants.

Wildly Incorrect SP Again II have a wildly incorrect SP for this stock. They may be better placed putting their energy into fixing this frequent problem instead of faffing around with the colour theme of the website

NAV Don't like the way this is spiking well above the NAV. A gambling man might cash out and wait for it to settle - but ive lost out by doing that in the past. Will hold and hope i dont regret

Re: SP +19.9% today according to ii yes a lot of ii's SP figures appear to be consistently wrong on many stocks ETF's and OEIC's. I use HL for reliable real time data,

Rhigos 24 Nov 2017

SP +19.9% today according to ii Sadly SP actually bid 22 and ask 23 so mid 22.5 at 14:14 , -0.87p on yesterdays close, -3.7%. Got me going for a minute :-/

Re: More insider dealing? Without doubt the suspension of operations and dividend cut by Cameco has been the catalyst for this latest spike. We all know the uranium cycle must turn at some point in the future but this looks a little premature to be sustainable. After all most utilities have their supply covered for 2018 and its only in 2019 that the uncovered gap begins to really grow. Ideally i'd like to see a steady progression and in the SP over the next 2 years but that rarely happens in markets driven by greed and fear. And yes there seen to be an awful lot of people able to get in ( or out) just at the right time - bit like an AIM stock! What we need now is for Kazatomprom to cut their production further and this will really move

casabanker 10 Nov 2017

More insider dealing? The sp of GCL has risen sharply over the last three days outstripping GCL'S NAV. Today's RNS reveals that Cameco, one of the biggest producers of uranium has susended operations. The suspension has had the effect of increasing GCL's NAV from 18.21 to 21.5 in the last 24 hours. The extra buying of GCL shares started on Wednesday.Casa.

NAV The Net Asset Value has dropped alarmingly over recent days and now stands at 17.87. I will not buy anymore until the NAV stabilises. It seems that all resource stocks are under downward pressure currently. Once this situation has settled, there may well be some good buying opportunities. Casa.

Re: Unexpected fall in sp The sp is looking interesting due to today's fall. I am waiting to see the daily NAV figure before I dive in to buy more. I'll also have a look at BKY.Casa.
