Re: Gable Holdings - Termination Of Cove... Yes, hands up here - I judged this one wrongly and sitting on large paper loss hoping in hope the tide turns either a larger insurer likes this business at this kind of level. A further drop today to 17 - 18 spread is well under cash levels but not looking good. So surprised with where we are share price wise.

Re: Gable Holdings - Termination Of Cove... Well, we got this one mightily wrong chaps! Any comments ir ideas please? Given my paper losses at the mo I am hanging on and hoping for some form of recovery. Can anybody see anything on the horizon for GAH?

NEW ARTICLE: Trends and Targets for 16/06/2015 " GABLE HOLDINGS  (LSE:GAH) Continues our wander through the Non Life Insurance sector of the market. As the chart shows, despite some strong performance from 2005 until 2014, paradoxically - for a Non Life Insurer - it has been dying on its ..."[link]

Re: Gable Holdings - Termination Of Cove... TA is probably a better bet as any. We know the potential that is only possible thanks to element of risk. We know the SP has bottomed out near cash and any movement upwards (normally when you least expect it) would see sentiment return.

Re: Gable Holdings - Termination Of Cove... Hi All,I would agree that on a long term chart 5yrs+ that 25.5 p would be a good area to buy [link]

Re: Gable Holdings - Termination Of Cove... Thanks BS.I do not believe TA myself, but keep an eye on that, as it can sometimes become self-fulfilling prophecy as many people ate trying to buy/ sell on the same basis.I will think about topping up at 24p or so.nk

Re: Gable Holdings - Termination Of Cove... I am in now in a wee way. TA bod sare suggesting afurther drop to c24. I may top up there if it happens. Good luck nk.

Re: Gable Holdings - Termination Of Cove... BS,I have bought in today as well. Can I add 2 points to what you have already said:- Market Cap is now below the Cash on the Balance Sheet (very ususal, meaning that business is valued at below zero, even though it makes some profits)- Directors (CEO and FD) have been buying since well over 70p. So we are getting in at a much lower price than them.Should have a good margin of safety at this price. Effectively somebody could take them over and pay the current shareholders using Gable's own cash !DYOR and Good luck whatever you decide.nk

Re: Gable Holdings - Termination Of Coverage This is not positive. Nor is the fact they will need to raise some cash to ensure they meet solvency rules. I also do not like the suggestion they will 'review' the dividend policy. That smells of a cynical attempt to support the share price and bring in new investors under false hopes of a payout. Having said all that I may take a few today, on the grounds that the business has been pottering along showing a decent profit, and it now seems oversold to me. Even with the potential problems, this still seems to be worth about 35 to me, given the increase in premiums, and the suggestion that the loss has been the result of just two incidents.Any more opinions please? (Better still, evidence!)

Re: Great value now Agree best bargain on the stock market with 100% of the SP in cash.

Re: Great value now I've topped up again this morning at 31.9p.The shares are trading at circa cash level for the company (£42M cash, £43M mkt cap)Todays results demonstrated the expected level of loss for last year, but with much greater growth prospects.Gable is now a clear bid target. Another bigger player, at current levels, could spend £43M to get £42M, getting all the Gable business for virtually free.Clearly a strong buy

Re: Great value now I have bought in as a good investment over fears of poor results on the 28th. It could fall further but the SP is underpinned by the cash in the bank making up cr90% of the market cap.I believe the company is profitable and the potential for growth is still here.

Re: Great value now Was thinking of buying. Sp has dropped a third since new year, and has more than halved over 12 months. The bad news is presumably in the pipeline as per weakening euro, and problems with their French business . Results out on 28th May so we'll soon know.
