Fleet Street Letter I bought this one on the basis of a recommendation of the Fleet Street Letter, a long time ago. If you are tempted by FSL, avoid, the number of duds is so great it makes me think it highly suspect. Global Energy is another, now 10% of the recommendation price.

Re: What a ridiculous RNS statement hmm a bad business but is it really worth selling out now at 20p? May as well hold as compared to what I paid; I wouldn't get back much anyway.

What a ridiculous RNS statement Released mid-afternoon with minimal but extreme sounding information. How completely ridiculous. Awful.

Why fall today? Any idea why the SP has fallen so much today? i can't see any logical reason. Divi is now well over 10% and P/E is looking v cheap. Also market doesn't seem to have reacted to Government's decision to shelve reforms to whiplash injuries which was one of the drivers of a falling share price.

Re: Point of no return Yes winningstreak, I do not normally worry about share price movements in the companies I own but in this particular case my thesis for buying the shares a couple of years ago is no longer valid as the company's business is fundamentally changing in nature, along with its financial characteristics and the share price suggests that this transition is not going smoothly. I still reckon management is doing a decent job in challenging circumstances but I do not find this company attractive as an investment any more as the risk has increased greatly so I took advantage of today's bounce to sell.

Re: Point of no return I get the feeling that something is not quite right here. Too cheap for comfort.ws

Point of no return I got the fundamentals of this share wrong and took profit hy in the past, still getting them wrong in 2016 and have bailed out. Share now seems to be going into free fall on no fresh news. Whether or not the management is competent and/or unlucky, the fact remains it has been an endless stream of negativity since passing 190 pence so recently..With the next projected write offs baked into the upcoming adverse results and the debt now growing over £15 million with poor cash flow, how many years will it take to make solid profits and pay this down? I fear another Sepura, acquisitions bringing a company to its knees. let alone a market crashGood fortune to remaining holders.PB dyor.

Re: Cheap Didn't see it but think Simon Thomson in IC may have advised taking profits and more recently said unfortunately he didn't see current trading warranting it being a buy.

Re: Cheap I missed the webinar yesterday. It certainly didn't do anything for the share price! Did anyone else see it? Was there anything specific, not already out there in the results, that could account for the fall?

Cheap The low PE-ratio and the high Dividend, make this share look extremely cheap.ws

Bought in HiI bought a few of these recently because the fall looks overdone. The forecast for the first half is profit of about £4m and hopefully the whopping dividend will be maintained. Now that 75% of their business comes from legal services it doesn't look like regulatory change is going to hurt them too much although they are always going to be susceptible to this. All in all it looks too cheap to me.

Re: SP falls Having done some further research this morning I think one area they might be affected is consumer travel law. I guess this is largely EU-derived. Last year they acquired Holiday Travel Watch so that might not have been good timing. However, I don't think this constitutes a large part of the business as it was only a part of Colemans. So even if the entire business was wiped out I don't think it would have any material impact. Looking at the other areas of their legal services business I don't expect it to be negatively affected by Brexit and their debt solutions business may do better if there is a recession (although it looks like low interest rates are here to stay for a while). The share is trading on a P/E of about 5-6 now and a yield of 7% which seems unfairly pessimistic despite the uncertainty around the impact of whiplash claims. So I am going to top up some more in the morning. [link]

Re: SP falls Like you I can't see how they're negatively affected . You would think a great or recession would make more use of their debt management business .Blindingly cheap

pmrleahy 27 Jun 2016

SP falls FRP has fallen sharply, partly around Brexit fears I assume. But I didn't think FRP was particularly affected by Brexit? Any views? Or is it just a casualty of indiscriminate selling of British shares?
