Re: NOT A SELL I started buying at £3.30 and didn't stop - I can't work out how much % I am up, lets just say it's an 'obscene' amount One thing that is going to be excellent in the interims is the 'Load Factor' - there have been no staff tickets available since late last year, sadly

Re: NOT A SELL I was luckier. I bought in September 2016 @ £12.06 and again later in the month as it fell @ 10.69. At the time I thought it was oversold and held my nerve when it dropped to £9.18 in October the same year. With divi's, I am looking at an overall profit of 59.33% (or 35.56%pa).

Re: NOT A SELL I agree Bazil and am not shy of posting my Strong Buy opinion. I agree with Steve Gurr that market is expecting good results though I hope not because of a leak.On Wednesday there was a gold cross for EZJ further reinforcing optimism for SP. My timing when I bought EZJ 2 years ago, shortly before referendum which I thought would result in a stay win. Sat on big losses for a while but now showing a CG of 13%, total return of about 9% pa which is quite respectable.

News Looks like the interim results, due Tuesday, have been leaked judging by the share price action - they will be excellent.

NOT A SELL Sorry for the Sell banner on my last post. No idea how that was included. I never post any recommendations to sell, buy or hold and if I had posted one in this case it would have been a buy!B_B

Re: It's all about Bacon Baguettes, Easy... Steve, your theory of not stocking the food cupboard between flights to save time is spot on. Not only a time saving exercise but lack of regional suppliers in particular sectors. No, I'm not an employee of Easyjet, just a mere mortal who flies frequently with them and had the opportunity to chat with cabin crew whilst waiting at the gate. This very subject of bacon baguettes was the main topic!! How spooky?Worthy of note is the observation that more and more passengers turn up at boarding gate after stocking up with meal deals from either Smith's or Boots........perhaps the answer to your question (or concern) Ecologist, is to invest in those companies too, that way you will have all bases covered. Seriously though, I agree. An extra twenty bacon baguettes and pizza slices per flight will keep perfectly preserved if not used on that day. I suspect that it all boils down to "elf n safety", food hygiene lack of overnight refrigeration whilst aircraft is on stand etc etc....B_B

Re: It's all about Bacon Baguettes, Easy... I'll ask my wife - as a senior EZJ manager she will know the answer I do know an aircraft will fly 4 or maybe 6 sectors with a single crew and only have the original food load loaded to last all sectors - maybe they don't top up to speed turnaround and keep our ticket prices low.

Re: It's all about Bacon Baguettes, Easy... Hi SteveI agree it is a balancing act but did you know that restaurants frequently use software to predict demand and thus hold an optimum amount of each food item? Further, while restaurants know that they will only sell during two periods a day (at lunch and dinner), Easyjet has potential customers available 16 or -17 hours a day. After all this is a FTSE100 company not a fly by night.Furthermore, to start a flight with no main meals on board (really, they had not a single one) at peak "feeding" times shows at least foolishness, if not plain incompetence of their (rather our) purchasing manager - and I presume chief cabin purser too.No, really not good enough!!

Re: It's all about Bacon Baguettes, Easyjet "A long-term holder of EZJ (since £3 days) and frequent flyer on EZJ" - I'm also in that club and do agree with most of what you say although there is usually a food option if your beloved first choice is unavailable. It's a balancing act I guess - we would all have an equally valid argument if lots of paid for food is thrown in the trash unsold?

It's all about Bacon Baguettes, Easyjet A long-term holder of EZJ (since £3 days) and frequent flyer on EZJ makes me have to complain loudly about the frequent lack of Bacon Baguettes on flights to and from Lyon (Sacre Bleu mes amis). Now, that may sound trivial - and you likely guess that this post is partly tongue in cheek - but there is also a serious, lost revenue side to it as well.I'll just give two recent examples: 1. Lyon to Luton, early March, at 13.30 (of course we are corralled to the gate by midday) i.e. spot on lunchtime. No main meals available on the flight.2. Faro to Lyon, last Sunday, at 19.55 (through to gate at 18.45) i.e. around dinner time. No meals available on flight, no sandwiches, no croque-monsieur, and NO ruddy bacon baguettes. The loss in food take on those - and how many other flights (?) - must be significant. We all know that the secret of EZJ and the Ryan-whatsitsname) is based on getting passengers to spend on extras ... reserve seats, speedy boarding ...and bacon baguettes. As a rough straw poll on the return from Faro I heard four people around me (plus me of course) ask for main meals - I make that a potential take of 5 from 15 passengers (i.e. about 30%??) who did not get the food they wanted. Multiply that up by a full planeload and how much potential revenue was lost by EZJ on that one Faro flight alone?Given that everyone takes a drink with their main meals, the revenue loss is £7 per person; multiply that up to a full aeroplane load of 200 (??) and assume 25-30% of disappointed bacon baguette fanatics and you get somewhere in the region of £350. Multiply that by every flight where the food planning is off ... and our dividend is lower than it should be.I'm being serious this time, someone at head office should be very concerned about such a foolish loss of revenue. Anyone running a "restaurant" knows that forward planning is essential if customers are to be served correctly and profits maximised.

Re: Confident I'm sure we would all prefer this to be a huge after-hours Buy but alas it's almost certainly just the uncrossing trade - in other words, balancing the books at the end of the trading day. More than happy to be proved wrong by an RNS in a day or two. Unless it's O'Leary...
