US & EU news So we've had some positive news which recently which has sent the share price higher. But none of this is actually translating into higher sales figures...yet. I've held this share for a number of years now and it does motor higher but am wondering whether its a good time to cash in the chips or to keep the faith and hold on. This is not a short term trading stock for me because of the spread, but what thoughts are out there? Part of me thinks it's run it's course and the sales now have to catch up with the share price to justify the share price, but then again with all these approvals maybe it will be a nice addition to a bigger company's portfolio and I should sit tight. What thoughts are out there?

Re: US Approval I think the large spread is more to do with the low volume with this share - hardly anyone seems to be actually looking at it! There are plenty of companies with far lower Market Cap but much lower spread. Just look at Watchstone, Market Cap less than half ECO but spread under 1% compared to about 5% here. That said, much happier with the lower volatility and steady rise in value we have here.No point in sitting on the sidelines waiting for the spread to get smaller, I think.

US Approval Yes, clearly good news -a problem is the large spread, hopefully this will diminish as the company grows.

US approval House broker says "buy" and increased target price to 375p to reflect stronger long-term growth potential.

In good financial position but with no other noteworthy features. At least that is the view on here [link]

Re: Directors sell out? I am not concerned. I would be if Mr Lawrence was selling, but he has increased his holding recently. The directors who have sold still have the benefit of sizeable share options from which they can benefit in the future. In the meantime they might feel that they would like to have some money to enjoy now. Holding a very large percentage of your wealth in the shares of just one company is very high risk, even when you are a director of that company. In fact as an employee it is even more so, because if things do go unexpectedly wrong you might lose both your investment and your salary at the same time.I suspect they have made a sensible and prudent financial decision. Personally I retain what could be viewed as a foolishly high percentage of my assets in this company!

Directors sell out? CEO and another director have sold out all their holdings. Maybe they need money to buy Christmas presents or maybe they know something that we do not?

I too have a useful holding of both Ampario and Eco Animal (the former being spun out of Eco Animal some years ago) and intend to remain a long term holder as I believe there remains significant potential uplift in value. NAV and PER are understated depending upon assumptions made. For instance last year drug registrations, patents and license cost were amortised by £2.476m to £26.453m whereas in reality, by their nature taking up to ten years to obtain the necessary approvals they are difficult and very costly to replicate and if depreciation was added back to profits an enhanced PER would result. Likewise, if they were revalued to reflect their true commercial value, they could on some yardsticks be worth significantly more.

Re: Interim results What's not to like and worth waiting for. I have mentioned the apparent link with Anpario before and both companies have yielded me a 100% gain and the good results seem set to continue. I bought a few more to-day and if one can find the right type of smaller company, it is infinitely more rewarding than the likes of Shell etc. and more interesting.

Re: Interim results Emailed a director. Interim results are out next Monday 7 Dec. Their web-site is very vague about dates for anything in advance.

Re: Interim results ....normally come out first week in December.

Re: Excellent Final Results I don't think they do! Up to this year they have not declared an interim div at all, just one div - a final div in final results.A second interim implies there is a final div to follow, but when would it be declared if not in final results?

donna blitzen 03 Jul 2015

Re: Excellent Final Results Second interim? I don't know why, but seem to recall that's what they do each year. Looks like there's a good, reliable, future growth situation here which is reassuring - not going to be affected by Greece or anything Greek!

Re: Excellent Final Results Why have they declared a second interim div in the results and not a final div? When is a final div declared if not in final results?Donna, I have noticed iii a few times recently indicating that there is company news but not actually showing it!

donna blitzen 03 Jul 2015

Excellent Final Results - are published this morning but, oddly, not on iii, at least not yet. They can be seen on the ADVFN site.
