Domino Corporate Misses [link] Competition is eating away at the pizza – and it looks the same here in the UK. Games

10%+ Jump OK down again as the rumours, Rennie was taking over from Wild have now been denied by the company. It was seen that Rennie, as an ex franchisee would be respected by the franchisees in dispute with the company. One wonders, if the role of the franchisee was such an excellent bag, why Rennie left in the first instance. Oh well - is it worth holding on here until Wild is replaced, as there are also rumours (there are always rumours) that an activist investor is going to poke his nose into the business. Games

Sell in May and go away........ Did the right thing back in May selling most of my DOM shares. Question now is ‘When to buy back in, if at all ?’ SJ PS Only drop in here once in a blue moon, whereas it was a daily fix with the old site - so sad…

Extract from article in Shares Magazine - page2 With this thought process in mind, I am always interested to discover why fund managers decide to sell certain stocks. Fortunately many managers are open about their actions, and so they should be. They are being paid by investors to manage money and should therefore be transparent with their actions and thought process. After all, would you trust someone if they didn’t explain what they were doing with your money? For example, Keith Ashworth-Lord, fund manager of CFP SDL UK Buffettology Fund (BF0LDZ3) has been fairly frank with his decision to dump Domino’s Pizza (DOM). The position was exited after Domino’s disappointed with recent like-for-like sales, even though the World Cup should have given it a trading boost. ‘I have been getting increasingly wary of this business recently,’ he says. ‘Domino’s is becoming more capital intensive, cash conversion has started to tail off and debt levels increase. I have doubts about the international expansion and lastly the CEO has gone through three finance directors in four years. We therefore sold the entire holding.’

Doubled up On the dip yesterday Games

IAmShareCrazy 07 Aug 2018

Sorting out International Yes buy on the dip when the trend is up. Otherwise you might as well go down the bookermakers and place a bet!

San_Jaime 07 Aug 2018

Sorting out International Always advised fellow punters to buy on the dips. Like you, also bought in here again today at 286 with some cash left over from selling back in May. Expecting 300 to be seen again pretty soon, certainly before year end. Now have to work out how to update the DOM line in the virtual portfolio of this newly updated, almost useless and unfriendly site. It was so simple to do on the old site and also so easy to see the number of posts in the discussion threads. SJ

Sorting out International [link] Overall, Domino’s are on track, because a stronger than expected UK performance is covering up the weak execution internationally. Domino’s have put their top UK Operations manager in charge of the International arm to bring these businesses back towards targets. The core UK business is a gem, with a hugely cash generative franchise model that gives the group tremendous financial strength. Domino’s challenge is now to replicate their success at home internationally and for now, the jury is still out. Well - having sold out last October for 325, I’ve decided to buy back in at 286, and may add again toward the end of the day. I think the international businesses can be sorted - famous last words. Sell in May and go away........ Yep I think most people feel the same unless they go back to the old format they won’t be around for long, a real shame as you say as I am also a long time member.

Sell in May and go away........ Just got back from a 10 day holiday to find that iii have messed up what was a perfectly good and user friendly site for Private Investors. WTF is going on ? Unbelievable to think that they consider this new site to be an improvement. Google Finance was also recently ruined by an update causing it to be of little use, the same has happened here. Can’t see iii surviving for very much longer unless major improbvements or reversion to the old format takes place. Guess I will have to go elsewhere: after joining iii back in 2000 . SJ

Click on the following link to get to the main page of the DOM discussion board: [link] You could easily get to any stock’s message board by clicking the menu (the 3 bars button between the profile photo and the magnifying glass symbol) then click on (tags) and a list of all the thousands of stocks appears. You can sort this list by name or by message count. Clicking on any one of them will take you to the main page of the discussion board for that particular stock,
