Large slump in SP The announced deal, and the trading update seem to gave gone down like a lead balloon in the market today. Let us hope it is only the usual market over-reaction.It is unclear if the drop is related to the acquisition, or to the growth warning, but I suspect it is a combination of both. Also the Peel Hunt downgrade would not have helped either."Charles Taylor says this acquisition, together with recent acquisitions and business developments, is expected to support the group's earnings growth, although this is now anticipated to be somewhat lower than the market's previous expectations for 2017."Let us hope that we see a bit of a recovery tomorrow.

Quiet Very quiet here. Nice rise yesterday, down a bit by close. I think the 375p target looks high but would be nice especially if by end of year.

Nice rise in SP today, hopefully the start of a steady rerate. On a separate note I have asked iii if they can make the "find discussion" function on this page work using the CTR ticker code. Below is their response."The Discussion Boards usually take the ticker code as a search, but in this instance that is not the case. I have raised a query with our IT team to see if this can be updated".GLA

CEO selling his stock Just started looking at this company after reading John Lee's articles in the FT about Chief Executives with impact and David Marock was mentioned as a potential mover and shaker.[link] you are not a subscriber to the FT, this is the extract :-An interesting and potential profitable category is where a well-qualified, experienced and nicely ambitious new chief executive arrives, determined to make a mark. Two particular examples of this spring to mind: David Marock at global insurance services firm Charles Taylor; and Marcus Leaver at publisher Quarto. Both have been in their respective roles for two to three years, have brought about some initial reorganisation and personnel changes, have just announced encouraging results with modest dividend increases — the first for some years — and are now hopefully poised for “lift off”.Mr Marock, a former McKinsey consultant and previously chief operating officer at Lloyd’s vehicle Beazley, is asking shareholders for £30m in a rights issue. It will be used for acquisitions and other new business opportunities. Mr Marock will surely get the money — I have already taken up my rights — because he is delivering; since he took the reins in July 2011, the shares have risen over 60 per cent and the last set of results came with an upbeat outlook statement and that dividend increase."""""What concerns me more about Charles Taylor, and presented a red flag for me before deciding to invest is why this CEO has sold more stock that he now owns:--Traded Action Notifier Price Amount Value27-Oct-15 Sell David Gideon Marock 269.00p 315,985 £849,999.6701-Dec-15 Sell David Gideon Marock 268.50p 150,000 £402,749.9909-Apr-15 Rights Issue David Gideon Marock 155.00p 158,034 £244,952.6929-Apr-15 Sell David Gideon Marock 240.00p 89,886 £215,726.41His remaining holding is avid Gideon Marock 204,975 £483,740.98Which is less than one of the North American Directors who holds :-Joseph G Roach III 212,105 £500,567.78, having bought at the same day that Marock was selling :-27-Oct-15 Buy Joseph G Roach III 268.00p 60,000 £160,800.00Now why would the CEO of a company, that was expected to start flying under his stuardship offload £1.6M of his shareholding leaving himself with less than £1/2M worth eh?Games -- I'm not in but if I was, in the words of Dragon's Den, I might start to think - "I'm OUT"

Re: Re: The rights have got to be a bargain to buy, with a potential dividend reduction of 0.75 pence set against earnings, the dilution of shareholder value should minimal, with a strong future going forward, the rights look set to end up over 200p with upside potential at 250p dyor
