Re: Couldn't resist it any longer I agree about the mess and I would have thought that a private biz is the preferred route but was just an idea. I think the name of a potential private biz has been bounded about elsewhere ......

Re: Couldn't resist it any longer Well, as expected. Shame about the placing if it goes ahead, but Kestrel average looks around the 44p in mark, so will give them a chance to average down. The IT sector is Dobbie's area, so expect something interesting. 30-31p in cash if it falls apart, which is obviously the boring route

Couldn't resist it any longer Just picked up 20000 (why it isn't showing I don't know). Looks like Kestrels av in price is around 48p, so lets hope it does something more imaginative than returning cash.

Xmas is coming & goose is getting fat.. Decision time is approach (Dec) is approaching fast and with up to £21m of cash, management and major shareholders will have to decide to return cash or make an acquisition very soon. As all the major shareholders are under water (Dobbie about break even, but he has only 20% of the say), the chances a deal will be done. I wonder if Dobbie's new vehicle Lending Crowd could be it? Who knows, but whatever it is expect it to have very good growth prospects, as Richard Griffiths and co will not want cash. At the current market cap the downside is low and the upside could be huge...
