What is the last cum-rights date? Record Date for entitlements under the Rights Issue : Close of business on 4 May 2018and Ex-Rights Date: 10 May 2018That is what the Rights Issue document says. Is something wrong there? Will the shares be cum-rights on 9th May?

AQR Capital Management Interesting to see them add to short positions in April for some of my holdings including:Capita:[link] the trend appears to be a reduction in short positions here. And a merger here that I banked this morning Sainsbury (See news today):[link] can not see myself ever making a profit on Capita however I am confident of gaining much of the losses back:

Re: Can anyone explain Son of a tiger"Who says", I tell you who... Neil Woodford, who would be far better informed than you or I. Good luck with your shorts, I think the reset and the reverse is underway ideal for a contrarian investor.

Re: Can anyone explain Not remotely operationally or financially similar to Carillion. Did you short it thinking it was?Oops.

Re: Can anyone explain .... but it ain't going to do a Carillion.Who says !!!!

Re: Rights issue We are only just in the process of voting for the 3 new ordinary shares for every 2. Vote is just a formality as part of this reset and change in direction that will happen. I may take it up, I don't know yet. Hoping for an AA type of reversal and I am willing to wait as anyone in boat should be. Some very good businesses in here despite being known as Crapita recently.

Rights issue Is Joe public invited to the rights issue? If so when might we get the option to take up the shares? I checked and the deadline is 4 May but I see no corporate action on my share dealing platform.Any ideas? My experience with these type of rights issues is that 4/5 give a good return over the long term. Always a risk one might fail like Northern Rock. Thanks

Re: Can anyone explain Insolvency is an inability to pay debts as they fall due. Capita can so it's not insolvent and the position is improved in any case by not paying a dividend and the rights issue. Beyond that you either buy into the turn around story or you don't but it ain't going to do a Carillion.

Capita Rights Issue Capita in my honest opinion started going in the right direction. it is supported by big banks and they are not fool. The directors also bought a lot of shares, that gives confidence.Stay calm and hope for the better.

Re: Can anyone explain I thought that under the 1986 Insolvency Act if a business continued to trade when an insolvent position had been identified then the directors of that business were personally liable. It is quite clear from Capitas published accounts for 2017 they are in deep trouble so why are they still trading ?

Re: Can anyone explain It means the shareholders have negative equity. Capita is technically insolvent and will need to raise cash from a rights issue which will dilute your holdings, and sell businesses which will reduce the debtAll these big service outsourcing companies are effectively bust because of decades of low or negative profit and over indebtedness.Where Carillion led, others will follow.Gordon Brown was to blame with his crazy outsourcing strategy.
