Re: Record results! My opinion at the moment is given the global potential Character are very much undervalued. Investors are lucky in a way because the global roll out of Characters products will be progressive, allowing for more investors to come on board as the potential is realised and the SP to be backed up by bottom line figures.As I have said for a long time now, investing in Character is all about your assesment of how well Character are going to perform on the global stage. If you think like me that they are going to do very well then the shares are very much undervalued.Early indications do look promising though with Character even stating that they are taking market share from the big boys global sales (albeit from a low base), and they have made the right choices in DHX Media etc. On top of that they are becoming a licensor of first choice because of their success to date and that bodes well for future license wins.All in all things are looking pretty good so far but that potential will in time need to be proven by results.Our directors in Character see the market potential as "huge" and I see no reason to doubt that given their success and if they are right then the uplift in the shareprice should be equally impressive.Plus as I keep saying, the more successful Character are on the world stage, the more likely they will get taken out by a bigger player which I personally feel will be the end result here with a takeout price around £12 a share, but that remains to be seen. For the moment I am happy with what I see as considerable upside to the SP.

Minions, Tesco, price promotion "Tesco promotional activity on Minions seemed to strike a chord – or touch a nerve, depending on your point of view. I got a huge amount of feedback, most agreeing with me that knocking 33% off at the peak selling period was at best a questionable tactic. NPD got in touch to say that they’ve also questioned the need to promote so early in the past, but there was sadly no suggestion that any retailers had been interested in engaging in the debate with them. The fact that NPD has confirmed this week that Minions overtook Frozen to become the UK’s biggest selling licence in the week before the movie’s release could arguably be taken as further evidence for the prosecution. “It’s the hottest thing out there, people are buying it in their droves – so let’s knock 33% off the price”…..it’s an interesting strategy, that’s for sure. Anyway, it’s obviously great news for all the licensees, many of whom I gather went through some fun and frolics getting product to market in time."Great news for licensees![link]
