NEW ARTICLE: Stockwatch: Stay the course at this winner "After shares of soft drinks group LSE:BVIC:Britvic have rebounded to a two-year high around 825p, should you take profits, or might the arrival of a sugar tax actually be a blessing for sales of low/no-sugar drinks?Early in February, with the ..."[link]

Re: Update I would expect a drop, hopefully not overdone with these solid results. Not bad news all round but as they say solid.

gamesinvestor 31 Jan 2018

Update [link] rose to £337.2m, but on an organic basis excluding the acquisition of Bela Ischia, it was up a more modest 0.7%."""I think caution is warranted here -- there ain't much growth on an underlying basis. Not sure how this will be received but there could be a sell off here :-"""However, revenue in the stills unit fell 6.6%, with a volume decline of 4.4%.""This next one is likley to be the thing that hits it :-""Revenue in France fell 5% in a subdued market, compared to a 6.3% jump in the same quarter a year ago, while international revenue declined 8.1% versus a 19.8% increase last year.""looks like even South America revenue fell 6.5% on an underlying basis.Ouch - maybe I should have sold a tad more than I did.Games -- or will it rise pehaps?

Re: Sold Deutsche upgrading from 'hold' to buy' ... Target price 950p

Our Haven 18 Jan 2018

Re: Sold With this mornings 4% rise at least you have two thirds of that Games. Any idea what is the driver of the rise? Typical that it rises today, i find it is much easier to time the buying than selling, I think it is something to do with the decision to buy in the first place still hangs over even though the numbers say sell. Have to push myself to sell.

Sharescope article - posted on Nichols board [link] article comparing to Fevertree, Britvic, Barr. Some observations:-1. ROCE in slight decline due to 2015,16 acuisitions2. Vimto not growing and still represents 77% of the business3. UK represents 3/4 of business4. Growth of late has largely been due to the 2 aquisitions5. Saudi economic weakness has slowed growth - also blockage in Middle East6. Despite share price decline the P/E is still up at 20 and seems still too high given the expectation os little or no growth, and perhaps too high for a trade buyer.7. High ROCE, like Fevertree is largely due to outsourcing manufacturing, unlike Britvic and Barr8. Quality control of manufacturers is a constant focus but so far has been good.Games
