Stop buybacks and pay higher div City have a ceiling for B’s share price and it’s unlikely to be broken , unless takeover, so boost the div by stopping £150m buybacks and redirect the money to paying more dividend

Coronavirus - city panics 4 flights a day from London to Wahun. USA assess risk as low. Seems City panicking again - it panicked over trade war but B delivered, it panicked over HK but sales up 3% overall, it didn’t like the fitout of B Oxford Street, store closures in China. The City appear to be looking for any excuse to mark B down.

Burberry and China virus City are now concerned over new virus hirting B’s sales- yet LVMH, Hermes & Kering are up. B’s forecast is upgraded . Coty appear to have a negative agenda on B but forgetLVMH, etc or banks, manufacturers.

B's future The company continues to buy its own shares in the belief it offers value for shareholders yet on yr to date basis the shares up only 0.32%). The buybacks should stop and the money given to shareholders. If the company is significantly undervalued put the business up for sale or switch the main listing - standng still should not be an option.

stutes 21 Jan 2020

Buyback or takeover rumour I am not convinced that the City mark shares up in tandem with any buybacks but more likely if there is speculation of a bid. I think it is better if shareholders are paid a higher divs as opposed to share buybacks

Only up .08% Makes you wonder about company and valuation.

stutes 21 Jan 2020

City - I think B should explore ways of releasing the value not priced in the share price - e.g., switching its main listing to Paris, merging with other fashion brands to gain scale, sell itself.

City - B keeps buying its shares City have cut the price by 140p+ on low volume which suggests to me it is adopting a safety first position ahead of tomorrow’s trading update.
