Re: Directors' sales They may be selling shares , to take the proceeds to fund this years ISA allowances for self and wife ...SAGE

Here today - Gone tomorrow 18 Feb 2015

Re: Directors' sales You have to put the director selling into prospective. The directors are on salaries of in excess of $500K PA PLUS options. The sale of this amount of shares could be for basic, mundane, domestic purposes i.e., paying college fees etc. The shares are 'given' to the directors so they are treated as tax efficient bonuses and are often dumped. I personally wouldn't read anything in to director selling at this level. NB. Director trading within a reporting period is closely scrutinised and if it transpires that the trades are on the back of insider/privileged information then they could be prosecuted by the financial regulators.

Re: Directors' sales I think that the big seller is leaving the company, but director sales have been a constant theme, which I don't like too much.BEZ is pretty fully priced, as is much of the sector and indeed the whole stockmarket. It is a highish multiple of NTA, and the valuation is based on a low claims year. Growth is pretty negligible.I rate BEZ as no better than a Hold at the current valuation. But they are a quality business. As to timing of sells, prices often dip in the summer for insurers, so I think they are just being sensible.

Directors' sales I'm running a ruler over this share, with an eye on the upcoming dividends.I'm just wondering if there's any reason for concern over the sale of shares by four directors on 13th Feb? Seems a bit odd to dump between them 40,000-odd shares prior to the dividend payment. Anyone have any comments?Rocky
