Re: Results Should the company not have issued an RNS if the results are to be delayed for whatever reason. Is there not listing rules that have to be kept too governing the publishing of results or reasons for a delay.

Results Does anyone know when these will be published. I have looked on numerous sites including Laura Ashley's but cant find anywhere where the results or timing of the results is published. Historically they have been out by now. Anyone have any info please share.

Re: Results this week ? Well, in the Telegraph's 'Week Ahead' (22/3/15) they had Laura Ashley down for results on the Thursday (26th), so I am especially puzzled. In the past when LA have delayed things it has been bad news that invariably followed, so I'm now a bit apprehensive, particularly as the SP has drifted downwards in recent weeks - oh well, as long as they leave the divi alone I'll be happy enough, I suppose.[link]

Re: Results this week ? Apparently not!Have the board signed up to some kind of Omerta? We've had no word on trading since the interims on 5 September 2014. That is over 6 months ago. Why no interim announcement since (which they managed in December 2013)? They could, of course, surprise us with excellent figures but I have a relatively tight stoploss in place should that not be the case.

Results this week ? Previous 2 years, the results have been on the last Thursday of March (28th & 27th) - so, what price on them being 26th March this year ? SP has slipped gradually down the last few weeks, which is not encouraging, but numbers traded haven't been particularly high, so may not be significant. The SP went up to 30p for no good reason, so I guess it can come down for the same. Hopefully the divi will at least be held at 1p. Would be nice if they increased it - after all, Khoo needs the money to pay to his wife ! Here's hoping.

Re: Onwards & upwards - why ?? MUI posted quite a loss last year, & there was talk of them selling their big Corus London Hotel (Hyde Park Lancaster Gate). It all seems to have gone quiet now on that front, but with the SP going up quite sharply in the last few days, it does make you wonder if they're exploring other options now, or whether it's just down to a positive forthcoming trading update - that would be a surprise, frankly, since the unseasonably warm autumn must've messed up their clothing sales for a couple of months at least. SP down a bit today, some people cashing in I guess, was tempted myself at 30p yesterday, but, like you, I'm in for the income, & since all my LA shares are in an ISA, it's tax free - hoorah !

Do you know what is going on at MUI?I note its shares are/were suspended.On the face of it ALY seem reasonably fully valued on a profits basis;it does have a valuble brand name which might be of interest to buyers.I have been holding purely as an income share,although in fact the present shareprice is more than twice my purchase price.Although it is a minor part I think MUIs Corus subsiduary still own the freehold, the newly added Laura Ashley Belsfield Hotel in Bowness(Windermere) seems much improved.

Onwards & upwards - why ?? Does anyone know why this share keeps on going higher ? It's around now that the 3rd quarter update is due, & if it contains good news then that might account for some of it, but surely there's more to it than that ? Shares generally have tumbled today, but not this one. MUI have been quoted recently as saying they're in talks to dispose of 'substantial assets' , could that include Laura Ashley ? It seems unlikely, as it generates such good income for the shareholders, but MUI are in fairly deep trouble so I guess anything is possible - anyone got any idea ?

Good news in the offing ? Contrary to my own expectations, the SP has crept up over the last few weeks, which I assume means some good news in the 3rd-quarter figures, which usually come out in the 2nd week of December - here's hoping - I could do with some Xmas cheer.
