Presentation from yesterday [link]

AGM Notes (brief) Not a good day - left the house 6:10am, train line problems just north of Watford, escalator repairs at Euston, and utter chaos arriving at Bank meant I walked in to the AGM 15 minutes late. There were some positives:> they still stand by the 'cashflow positive' by mid 2016> the Sensium review WILL BE completed within next 3 months> Richard Steeves was there as an investor, not board member> there was more humility and less arrogance (just my view)> US affordable health bill presents real opportunity in the states, trial in South Philadelphia about to start if they patch up 10, 000 patients, and detect only 50 deteriorations, that's a positive business case sepsis accounts for 50% of hospital deaths!!! ( still find that staggering)> US Trial about to start with very good support from clinicians and nursing staff> Lots of other trials are ongoing that we (I certainly) weren't aware of - another starts next weekI did ask the board about starting the meeting later especially as my own plight yesterday highlighted the difficulties many PIs face getting into the City for 9am (I was not the last to arrive!!)Spoke with Anthony, Richard, and Chris T.Discussed QE, still progressing, but the cycle is long and intensive. they patch a few and prove concept, then they patch a sensible number (100 at QE was mentioned) and do full data gathering and analysis (this is where they are at some 10 months after starting)Chris mentioned that 50% of deaths in hospitals are Sepsis related - I must have missed the qualifying bit of this statement though as that sounds plain wrong (Dave ???) - might give a major short-term window of opportunity though, especially in US.A few of us went for coffee afterwards. "Hopeful" would sum up our collective feelings, no wild optimism, but no suicide notes either.

Re: Press release from Frontier don't know a great deal about Minuet but seems to be part of the Google Cast and other casting products as mentioned:-from Jan 2016[link] devices using UNDOKTM are interoperable. UNDOKTM has been adopted by numerous audio manufacturers including Roberts, Ruark, Revo, TechniSat, Hama, Dual, Argon, Goodmans, View Quest and Bush. Jointly, they represent the largest open multi-room ecosystem. Minuet also offers Apple AirPlay, Spotify Connect, Bluetooth and Internet radio.!!!

Press release from Frontier Someone on the ADVFN board has posted a copy of a press release that was sent via email.I cannot find it on their website or mentioned on their Twitter account. It mentions "Over 20 manufacturers are currently using Minuet solutions to build Cast-enabled devices for a range of brands - to be announced later this year. Products being developed include wireless speakers, soundbars, and portable devices."

Re: LG Stylus 2 with DAB+ It could be:"The company detailed that it collaborated with the International DMB Advancement Group (IDAG) to include DAB+ technology in the new LG Stylus 2. LG says that DAB+ is expected to replace FM analogue radio and adds that DAB+ already reaches over 500 million people in 40 countries."Patrick Hannon is president of World DMB, but IDAG is made up of broadcasters as far as I know.Maybe we'll find out tomorrow...

LG Stylus 2 with DAB+ Can only hope this is a TMZ/FS implementation, I cannot believe that DAB has been such a long time coming to a smartphone. Lets hope even if not ours, the rush to adopt/copy begins.fingers as ever crossed..anyone know if it is ours?best to allSteveM

Re: Results The way I see hospitals accepting this tech. is by starting off small trials and add more wards as a trial until they are satisfied and I would suspect that is what is happening with Sensium and other competing products. Sensium is not alone with this hurdle. It will be a while when we have recurring revenues from Sensium, but any decision they make has to take this into account. Having a look at the Herald Investment Trust Annual report (2015) page 7[link] and Toumaz were amongst our poorest UK stocks in 2015. Imagination has experienced difficult trading, but the valuation is now less than the last three year’s expenditure on R&D, which has all been expensed. I fear the market has lost confidence that this development will be productive, while the customer base for the existing core products is increasingly dominated by Apple. The outlook for Toumaz is better. Recent discussions in the US with a memory supplier to Toumaz were encouraging.Historically we have always held around 17.5% in early-stage pre-profit companies within the UK portfolio, but this has fallen to 13.2% (£57m year end market value and 51 companies). In part this re ects negative returns from these stocks of £15.8m during the year: the market became unforgiving towards loss-making businesses. The market is now fearful of having too large an exposure to companies still burning cash, given the shortage of co-investors at an early stage. Over the life of Herald, most of the Company’s best returns have come from these early-stage pre-profitt companies, such as ARM, Imagination and Autonomy. We invest in the expectation that it will be dead money for a period of time. But if you do not provide capital when such companies need it, they will not exist for the upside."

Re: Major shareholders That's well over 50% in "safe" hands - I think the market is waiting for some idea if what the medical side might add, or not, with this review we should hear about mid-16
