BWNG, results this Week? Some say wednesday............Friday 19 JuneHome shopping business N Brown (BWNG) is expected to report like-for-like sales growth of 2.5% in its first-quarter update on Friday, despite the annualisation of the change in credit policies expected to bring their like-for-like figures 2% lower. But weaker comparatives should support 5% growth for the year, especially as benefits of the JD Williams relaunch feeds though, says UBS's Cochrane. As the analyst's "most preferred" general retail stock, Cochrane says: "The scope of the business change being undertaken at N Brown is not to be underestimated and the movement to more fashionable product, more flexibility in the supply chain and increased sales to non-credit customers make this an effective turnaround story in our view."At 344p, the shares trade on 14 times earnings.

Re: Over reaction In December she was posting on GWP with a SELL flag and initial target of £3 with a 12 month target of £1.40. The price then was about £3.50. A few people told her she was wrong then and she had obviously not done her proper homework on the companyThe price for GWP is now just under £5 and rising. There is so much potential in it.So don't believe her. She definitely has not got a crystal ball.Bantam...this one is being oversold! IMHO

Re: Over reaction The statement was that profits would be "slightly" down on expectations, not "significantly", not "less than half". Technically it is a profit warning, but surely the drop is out of all proportion with the scale of the miss? Are the company's prospects of survival significantly less? Is it's dividend in question? The price recovered after the last warning and I expect it to do so again.

Re: Over reaction Over-reaction? two profit warnings within a year, don't think so.
