Think it's the feel good factor from Granto's letters, at least now we know there's someone on the inside controlling things

Adven, it's not even panic, look at the volumes, they're tiny

I'm impressed, he did a great deal for himself

Lads, did the technical RNS not say at the very end that Chrysaor had taken 15% of FEL 1/14 (Spanish Point?)reducing Providence to 43%. Looks like a farmout to me, but no terms given, so doubt if we got anything, other than someone to share the costs. ???

Phoebus - if you get to read this, think Sequa have managed to burn at least $130m in Kazakhstan, split between $90m loan facility to Bolz LLP and $10m farm in cost for 75% of Aksai liocense plus $35m on drilling. Plus I think I read somewhere that they acquired the remainder of the license, so that would be extra cost. The total burn on Aksai depends on how much they advanced Bolz in 2014. But I don't think they'd be delaying the accounts for an impairment of $10m or even $30m. Check their 2013 accounts for my figures.

Hi Desperate - no problem with the delayed response. Out of curiousity how many hours are you behind? Having put money into Providence, I'm obviously a betting man, so will take you up on your wager for €35 stake. I remember the heady days after Exxon farm in to Dunquin was announced and a 100 of today's shares were worth €1,200. Not too long until those days return now .................................... (cue sarcasm).

Desperate, shame you didn't take up the wager, Lloyds were the culprits for 4.4m shares .......... BUT who bought ??? we'll see soon

Desperate, I'll take you up on that bet providing the stake is not too rich for me (given the performance of my share portfolio, it probably is).

Be more interested to see who bought !!! ............. but if anyone cares for a wager, I'm betting Blackrock have sold, any takers ???

Hi Shadow, a ferw hurdles still to cross, not least that Sequa didn't fully get their bond away. If memory serves me correctly, they still have $96m to sell in non US markets over the next 6 weeks. The free cash from the bond was $75m and they are getting a further $62.5m from Sapinda Asia (possibly this will go towards the unsold portion of the bond.) All depends on what their cash commitments elsewhere are.
