Re: Press twaddle "Does someone actually get paid for this sort of rubbish?"---------- ---------- ---------- -Now, why wasn't the question being asked of Michael Walters when the price of Torotrak shares was in the £5 to £6 area?Anyone? Anyone?S. )

Press twaddle [link] someone actually get paid for this sort of rubbish? After reading the article, you can be sure that someone, somewhere thought 'hmm yes, seems like a good idea to buy a few......'

Re: OT Alternative gambles Evraz has too much debt for my liking. Interestingly they sold the Vametco plant to BMN, which is now BMN's flagship operation and making good profits for them

Re: OT Alternative gambles See also EVR (Evraz PLC) and possibly IRON (Ironveld PLC).Was it you, fyoz, who mentioned these here in the last few months?I'll try to post some analysis when I get the chance.S.

Re: OT Alternative gambles Sourhills (and anyone else still lurking)BMN is worth a look as well. Vanadium is the new wonder element, and could be in real demand for both flow batteries and increased steel strengthening in the coming yearsGLA

Re: OT Alternative "Gems" Didn't somebody tell us how well they were doing with IDOX here not so long ago? Here are my notes on that chart:[link] case you're wondering (though I'm pretty sure you're not ), I haven't altered a thing in the posting of it (though I have amended subject line for this thread).S.

Re: OT Alternative Gems Silence, fyoz....They've all had their lights punched out.Oh, what a fall was there....(Look it up. It's yer basic five-act tragedy stuff.)S.

Re: OT Alternative Gems Been a while since I started this thread but I think it's worth another goGenuinely sorry for all those that lost their investment in TRK, I took a big hit as well but I've made it back and more beyondIf you'd invested in QFI when I suggested it, you'd be sitting on a loss still, but all that is about to change. Take a look peeps, it's a great British company with an innovative solution that is on the cusp of commercialisationAll the very best

Re: Museum Pieces Would it be worth displaying Flybrid at this event in March 2018?[link] too late for TRK (they have made a habit of being too late) but someone else might think it worthwhile. Will Ricardo display their flywheel solution there? That would indicate their continuing interest in mechanical storage.

Re: Museum Pieces Some years ago, during the mishmash of hot air, I bought my Father a set of champagne flutes for Christmas engraved with the words "Bankable Deal"Perhaps we could put them in a display case next to the exhibits?

Re: Museum Pieces Fair point, staffai.Although I sold out some years back, it was a poor investment for me too.If there's one thing I've learnt it is to take all statement by a company with a pinch if salt, and only use information that they have to publish together with their accounts for investment decisions. Everything else is potentially froth or c&&p, depending upon your point of view. And read the reports from the bottom to the top.
