Strat Aero (AERO) There was a related IPO to GOS Systems this week: Strat Aero (AERO).From "Shares" magazine, 20th. "[link] tips the company at 13.25p.The company has raised £650,000 in a placing at 8p a share, giving it a value of £6.2m. at the IPO price.Currently £9.43M. at 12.25p.Forecast revenue for the second half of 2014 is $300,000, though it is then forecast to ramp up very strongly.Note the comparatively modest amount of money AERO have raised: just £650,000.GOS were trying to raise over ten times that amount: £8M. (£5M. of which was to acquire Deltenna, and most of the rest to ramp up expansion overseas).I'm sure that if GOS had tried for just £650,000, and at a modest valuation like AERO, then they could have IPOed with no problem.
