Re: Imminent in my view Looks like 3-4% of stock changed hands this morning before the market openned looking at the trades this morning , so definetely alot of interest here. Just sitting tight and waiting for next test results and announment re drilling commencing at Moran, things should really heat up over next 3 months imhoSeagull

Re: Imminent in my view Hi Charlie I have no doubts you know more than me about mining . I have a view mostly based on price action . I'd take 50p as I hold at 20 and 27,25p . Wouldn't be too bad for me . At the moment I just want to see price action move towards 32p to confirm my view . Not implying am right . With your Mozambique example I must said that I have never liked Coal from a price perspective , even less so most stocks in Africa from an experience point of view. I seem to get no joy out of them for all sorts of reasons and african infrastructure is one of them . Ecuador seems very keen to develop this asset . Taken from Solgold website " Ecuador winning Latin America Country Award for 2017 at Mines & Money Americas in Toronto and Most Innovative Country at Mines & Money London."So I am keener here . Copper technical and outlook is very positive . I posted a Glencore Copper outlook on this site a while back I think and more research suggests copper known reserves are running out and more needs to be found and mined. If true and if true Solg had 12 bids . they surely weren't for 30p or current price . They may have been for 40-50p already , we won't know . All chit chat and opinion so no advice intended . Am long so biased

Re: Imminent in my view I don't deny its a great asset and as a s/h I hope they find many more deposits rich in cu and au. I just cant forget that Rios paid A$4byn for a coal deposit in Mozambique that had masses of lovely coking coal. Then they realised there was no way of getting meaningful quantities to market - and wrote the lot off!If all SOLG want to do is prove up the resource and flog it I think the upside is severely limited. Who would pay billions of £ for an asset unmined? Imo that might put a cap at (say) 50p rather than 200p. Would love to be proved wrong.

Re: Imminent in my view I hear what you are saying Charlie But the 12 bidders will have been producers too. Their balance sheets are of great importance . The healthier the better for M&A activity Also whilst we are seeing a constant news flow of grades etc , all I would conclude is that the discoveries are adding to the world class asset . Anyway its just my opinion for what its worth . All the best onedb1

Re: Imminent in my view because they want to attract an investor or takeover probably. Thats what I would bank on.

Re: Imminent in my view I am not sure the prices of the mined product are very relevant to a share price when we are many years away from them selling an oz of anything. More important imo would be how they plan to develop the mine and get the product to market. Positive news on that front would be the catalyst to a re-rating imo. However they seem to be preoccupied by proving up the discovery at the moment.

Imminent in my view won't be too far off ! I share the frustration as everything is rallying in the commodities sector ( more or less ) Truth is that a deeper retrace towards support ( at 24p ) gives the better extension As it stands we retraced a little lower than my view on yesterday and that gives me a 50% retrace on this current swing at 24.8ish , a 1.618 extension gives me about 32p with extensions to 36 etc . Ok its all jabba jabba to some but don't forget that with 12 bids and copper rallying these firms are seeing stronger and stronger balance sheets. this is not fiction ! 12 bidders and I bet competition will heat up Note too Solg is seeing stronger copper than when it reached its previous price spike and Gold is doing very well too. $1352 !! Really good IMO My opinion and I am long . 20p and 27.25 buys .

Re: RNS Actually price action is not that bad as some perceive it Am not going to bore with technicals too much but from my perspective we had a first stab at testing the 200 day moving average , rejected for now with sentiment over heating a bit ( not too much but still RSI at 70) Now the last time we passed the 200sma was early October , back then all moving averages where pointing down and the move was just a bull trap a fake break in other wordsToday we have the 20 / 50 and starting the 100 too ( moving averages ) all showing an upward reversal. Signalling the market is willing to return to Solg and in the last few days its showing tentative bullish momentum . You to go back to June last year to see a 20 and 50 and 100 all pointing upI think this retrace is going to find its bottom at today's levels . We haven't re-entered previous resistance now support so I remain bullish I make chart support at 24ish . Resistance the 200sma at 29 I am of the view that we'll pass it soon / 31/32 near term target for me

Re: RNS Think market was expecting an updated MRE but, reading between the lines is running 4 weeks late due to processing of samples lag time, then guess the 2nd rig not site at Aguiga and resullts awaited doesn't help. Just got to be patient and think allow a month or so delay on everything they forecast seems to be the way for ward. Think they should try and speed up processing of samples as taking to long imho.I expect updated MRE come end May beginning June. 2nd rig on site at Aguiga and rig on site at Trivino end of May beginning of June and hopefully, share price will continue its recent recovery. Same old story, patience and hopefully will be well rewarded in the end. I am no expert and as always do your own research. Seagull

Re: Solg received offers from 12 big min... Hi Charlie, As per the half year results 31st December released February, they had A $138m in the bank and stated At Cascabel, the benefits of the recent equity raisings over the past 12 months has exploration fully funded for the next year as drilling continued to expand the growing world class deposit at Alpala. Agree its 2- 5 years and they will need more cash of course but, with all those concessions and exploration going on and constant upgrades to MRE , I believe this will go a lot higher. As always do your own research! Seagull

Re: Solg received offers from 12 big min... Hi Seagull,The IC podcast back in November suggested that they had 9 months funding and that they were hoping to attract long term large investors (industry players/miners?) in any future fund raising. So while I agree they should offer any future capital raising to existing s/holders, their past behaviour and statements suggest otherwise.I see it as a 2-5 year investment, absent of any t/o.
