Re: Excellent Results Games,"Would you be happy to loan some of your wad to LGEN at a rate lower than 5.4%?"No, I wouldn't, m8. But that's only because I'm not into bond-like investments (other than the linkers LOL). I like to take a walk on the wild side with equity investments ... and my LGEN shares give me a prospective yield of [taps numbers into calculator] 5.76%, with every prospect of future growth ... albeit with a certain amount of risk as well. Why would I take less than 5.4% nominal when I can 5.76% real, eh? You must think I have manure for my brain.I have every confidence in the slaphead brainiac and his executive team since it seems to me almost inevitable that interest rates are poised to rise with a concomitant fall in the quantum of liabilities associated with that part of LGEN's biznay that is affected by these arcane matters.LKH on the flybridge

Re: Excellent Results "The only thing that ever so slightly surprised me was that the cost of debt rose slightly to 5.4%."LK - perhaps it reflects the risk of carrying all the pension liabilities that LGEN is buying into and loading onto the books down the line?Would you be happy to loan some of your wad to LGEN at a rate lower than 5.4%?Games - Jam today perhaps - risk tomorrow, well maybe - possibly the financiers are pricing that in to the system?

Re: strange as some time ago john humphreys on radio 4 am news would laughingly announce yet another company reporting improved profits with a corresponding drop in share price and pondered why?the business editor's explanation was that speculators had been buying in anticipation of even more (oliver ya greedy little git) and would now be selling out to move their bets onnot my philosophy, i hope to buy hold long term for income and growth rather than ephemoral betsnice divi to keep me in gruel in the meantime

Re: Excellent Results Sound,"You still holding LKH ?"Yeah, I'm still in, with 5.3% of the shrunken wad, putting LGEN at Number 6 in the Top of the Pops. I agree, these were absolutely first rate results by any standards. Gosh, they do drone on innit though? the time I got to part 3 of the RNS I was like "Talk to the hand, 'cos the head ain't listening". Fingers crossed there wasn't some terd in the waterpipe buried in the small print. The only thing that ever so slightly surprised me was that the cost of debt rose slightly to 5.4%. Blimey, that's more than the cost of a mortgage. Can't the slaphead brainiac chairman get his Treasury chums to give LGEN a better rate than 5.4% ffs?But I am being churlish. Well done, LGEN![link] on the flybridge, at anchor, Bahia Naufragio

Re: Recovering nicely Hopefully still away to go. Like you say still underperforming the ftse. Good figures should help.

Boring Bernie 03 Mar 2017

Recovering nicely At 253p we're at a twelve month high, still a fair way behind the all time high, and we've underperformed the FTSE100 over that period, but post-Brexit fears seem to have been put behind us now.The Finals are out next week, so I've probably just given the sp the kiss of death
