Court decision Very rough numbers- $102m or 56p per share quoted as net assets in half year report. Assume that allows for Invenergy contribution of $50.7m which should now be reduced to $36m making latest net assets $87m Current market value £26m. Does that not leave some scope for increase.

Court decision Given court decision NAV now approx 35c or 25p with wind up costs. Couldnt really have gone worse. Best to all those invested - possibly the millions paid to CEOs and directors should come back ?FD

court valuation by 19th April ! so they have kept the same valuation in their books which is comforting, although in the schem of things not at all relevant.the proof will be in the decision.the parties met on 19th Jan with judge and a decision is due within 90 days.very much expect that the ruling will be contested which means that more leagl fees will need to be financed but at least we will have an idea of scale of the compensation.the wording around the half year report seemed confident but again it all depends on the ruling - not for widows and orphans!!All IMHO, DYOR + BoLLEAF is in my portfolio

All happening this month Leaf results are due towards the end of September but I'm much more. Interested in happenings at the Delaware Court of Chancery.Damages hearing is due sometime this month. It's not on the calendar this week. Must watch out for it next week[link]

Re: All happening this month yep the market has been able to absorb decent selling over the past 2 months so I think a buyer in the background happy to pick up stock at these levels. risky of course but I think judge post Trump likely to be favourable and downside even using Invenergy's original offer is c.25p on LEAF. Interesting. All IMHO, DYOR + BoLLEAF is in my top5 hldgs

Re: 10% of free float traded at 40p tft,I think you misunderstood my post. I don't think any shares changed hands, rather that it was someone moving the stock from a taxable account to an ISA or SIPP, possible for tax reasons.

Re: 10% of free float traded at 40p indeed!at the simplest of levels it good to see a buyer pikcing up the shares.i beleive that no-one would buy these shares in volume without an inside track on the positive outcome of negotiations and / or litigation.CRS still very positive on LEAFAll IMHO, DYOR + BoLLEAF is in my portfolio

Re: 10% of free float traded at 40p Looks like a Bed & ISA to me!

10% of free float traded at 40p 1.2m shares traded today after decent volumes in recent days.there are 120m shares in issue so this is 1%so that is 1% traded at 40phowever 90% of LEAF's shareholders are fixed so this represents 10% of the tradable shares.it cant be anyone buying...i.e. with the shares so tighly held it'd be madness looking to buy 1% so it must be some-one looking to sell and then a buyer saying "yes I will take those shares."thus its interesting that someone prepared to pay 40pi.e. a seller that doesnt really have any options because there is no liquidity to sell in the market is able to get as much as 40pseems a positive indicator to me - though all speculation really time will tellAll IMHO, DYOR + BoLLEAF is in my portfolio

Re: analysis of finals at 42p (NAV of 68p) It's gone awfully quiet here, and the drift in the SP continues. Could do with an update from the company.

analysis of finals at 42p (NAV of 68p) so NAV of 68p - but is it realisable??I am intrigued that it seems the third party appraiser has not yet been appointed - does this mean they are negotiating? The court ruling was quite clear and strong... and the scale of those potential returns are very enticing...Invenergy's counter defence arguments are weak and any award is accruing at 6% compound interest. The valuation methodology has been changed and the detail in the sensitivities is interesting to analyse.... in short it seems that the variance around reasonable valuations is higher than last year - for both the worst case and best case scenario - this refers to the equity holding in Invenergy.Interestingly LEAF states it has the support of shareholders to fight the court case which given CRS legal connections is positive.it also seems that the other investments have been revalued upwards slightly and are treading well.In summary - there is defo downside on this one... but I see that as being limited.....given the CASH, the strength of the other investments and the base case for the Invenergy stake and the fact that as a business it is expanding, and renewable valuations are expanding so our 2.3% is increasing in value year on year. And the upside - take your pick!I'm not going to get carried away and think the between the line comments from CRS give the clue that we'll prob get c.50p and a stake in the tiny rump of LEAF investments (worth maybe 8-10p but valued by the market (rightly) at 3-4p until they are sold. All interesting, and happy to run my holding outside of ISA (in case of downside!!)All IMHO, DYOR + BoLLEAF is in my portfolio

LEAF at 42p very interesting update from CRS this morning. They are in until the end so I see no reason for them to inflate prospects. However they quantify the court ruling and say still confident in the value of INV (note the rising value of Clean Energy EFT's at the mo) and possibility of CASH return "well in excess" of current share price.I see that as good news.....Interestingly, despite the positive comments it might also be said that CRS position have moved from "we are confident that..significantly in excess.....", to "this has the potential...to be well in excess"' so i think this puts some sort of scale on the outcomes.... maybe towards 50p??in the 12 mths between the CRS comments LEAF share price has already risen from 36p to 42p having paid out a 5p diviCRS also implies there are several investments of value in LEAF.Certainly in my head I had written off the remainder investment to NILSo interesting 6 months ahead (CRS don't correct initial timescale of Mar 17 as distribution deadline) decent upside, albeit not a certainty! All IMHO, DYOR + BoLLEAF is in my top5 hldgs

Re: analysis at 43p Hi toagree that the large holders are more or less forced to hold to the end,but still someone is bothered to buy. I was amazed to sell at 41 yesterday and 42p todayAt 43p it does not on paper look like at good risk reward,so I'm intrigued why anyone would buy in at this stage.time will tell as ev

tiltonboy 26 Aug 2016

Re: analysis at 43p I'm also encouraged by the strength in the price, but with volume so low, I think it is more down to be no natural large seller suppressing the share price, rather than any "insiders" buying.I'm quite close to letting a few more go, and was tempted this afternoon, but held off. With good news coming out of LXB and JPEl, things are on the up.
