Source: ITM Power website See also: UK: First zero-emissions hydrogen filling station opens Air Liquide-Toyota hydrogen fuel station sites announced BOC signed an agreement with ITM to provide infrastructure, including hydrogen compressors and dispensers, for ITM Power’s new electrolyser-based hydrogen refuelling stations for passenger cars. BOC is a key player in the development of the hydrogen transport fuel market in the UK. It operates the hydrogen station at Honda’s headquarters in Swindon and another in Aberdeen, which fuels Europe’s largest fleet of hydrogen fuel cell buses. “The success of BOC’s refuelling station in Aberdeen will ensure that together with ITM Power we are able to make hydrogen a reliable and accessible clean fuel for future mobility,” said Dr. Hamish Nichol, Innovation Manager for Hydrogen, BOC. ITM Power, on the other hand, operates a station in Rotherham and plans to deploy eight more across London, most of which will be opened this year, according to a company release. “We are delighted to be working with BOC who have a significant leading role in the UK delivering onsite solutions for industrial and fuel gases. Onsite integrated hydrogen refuelling solutions utilising the leading edge technology of ITM Power and BOC is a world class offering,” said Dr. Graham Cooley, CEO of ITM Power. ITM Power also has an outstanding agreement with auto manufacturer Toyota to supply Toyota Mirai fuel cell vehicles with hydrogen for three years.

$140m Octopus Zenith Opportunities II LP (Octopus Opportunities Fund) Backs ITM Power (ITM) The UK VC says the new raise brings its early stage funds to more than £400m, of which it will invest more than £75m this year. Its Cambridge reach has seen Octopus back ITM Power, invest in Cambridge energy management influencer Origami and back exciting St John’s Innovation Centre business UltraSoc. Alex Macpherson, head of Octopus Ventures, says the new raise comes at “an interesting time for technology venture capital in recent months, with much said of the apparent slowdown in the US technology investment market.”

Graham Cooley, ITM Power’s CEO All-Energy 2016 All-Energy 2016 is the 16th show in the annual series will be held at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) on Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 May 2016, bringing with it an exhibition with new dedicated zones; more conference streams and many of the tried, tested and popular features of past years. After 14 shows in Aberdeen, All-Energy moved last year to the SECC and was a resounding success with 8,250 attendees from 50 countries; some 450 exhibiting companies and, almost the same number of speakers from home and overseas.
