Re: Today's SP I think EAN must officially be a go

Re: Today's SP As long as the predator offers in excess of 625 pence, I couldn't give a flying one.Biggest dent in the portfolio for me, this one.

Re: Today's SP There's got to be rumour doing the rounds for the last couple of days increases without any official news releases. Anyone circling to pick up a bargain?

Norman Barrington 08 Jun 2018

Today's SP Anyone have any idea about this sudden turnaround?PS in case iii does a TSB over the weekend - goodbye all!

Re: ligado Good afternoon Basscadet and Boyobach,It was bound to happen the moment I bail out some good news comes along (other than my decision to sell up) so the SP starts climbing again but all is not lost.I have been switching my all my holdings into IT's in the belief that they have a better understanding of market vagaries than do I. Two of the IT's I am now invested in have a holding in ISAT (over £12M between theml) and I like to think that their attention to detail is pobably much better than mine. Thanks for the thoughts and good luck to all remaining small direct investorsKind regardsTJ

Re: ligado I understand the rational and wish trader jack well also.I think this is just Ligado and the Lufthansa news. If it was EAN finally launching I would expect a bigger rise. It could be an insider tickle from that though.

Boyobach 07 Jun 2018

Re: ligado Yes indeed BC, there is obviously something more substantial driving the sp than the Sharesave baloney.Whether it is speculation about the Ligado license issue or something else, I'm not at all clear. However I've been pleasantly surprised to see it break above 410 and prospects of it moving into the 430-480 trading range suddenly seem possible.Tough about Trader Jack - quite understand his rationale for getting out, I guess most of us have a similar story.

Re: ligado I just noticed this. Surprised The Times has printed something so silly. Apart from the relatively low sums involved for company directors, shares in the scheme can be relinquished at any time prior to maturity for the accumulated cash. So, it carries no risk at all.Happy to be comforted that the current rise is for genuine business reasons

Re: ligado the rise in price seems to have stalled....Well it just 'corrected' the drop of May 22nd and is pretty much back on the track it was following prior to that. And, maybe more importantly from a chart perspective, in the process it has just broken above a falling trend that has characterised the sp 'highs' for the last eight months - so, on that basis, I'm inclined to think that the prospects are starting to look better than they have at any point since October. We'll know better when the next couple of 'lows' have established the current base.I'm not convinced that senior directors saving £500/month in the company's sharesave scheme signifies much - it merely indicates an intention to save £18k over three years with no obligation to buy any shares at the end of it, having withdrawn from previous schemes and presumably cashed existing accrued savings because the previous options were too highly priced. It certainly does not strike me as 'news' or a good reason for the sp to jump the way it has. So a bit disappointing if that was really the cause of the sp hike.Good luck to Trader Jack in the meantime.

ligado THe Saturday Times put the rise down to two directors taking up their full allotment of shares under their share scheme allocation. Whatever the reason, the rise in price seems to have stalled.

Boyobach 04 Jun 2018

Re: Wow Whatever the reason(s) for the strengthening sp, last week's excellent price performance effectively closed the rather silly gap down of May 22nd and provided me with a good opportunity to take profits of 40p or more on shares recently bought, (around 30% of my holding) thereby controlling exposure and reducing the effective cost per share of the remainder. If it reverts to the previous rising trend whilst cycling through a trading range of about 30p then that'll be just fine as far as I'm concerned.

Geminic 02 Jun 2018

ligado Decision on spectrum use by ligado is expected very soon. Is this the reason for the jump in price?
