progress FPM seem to be doing fairly well, judging by their last 2 RNS releasesalthough attracting little comment these days, I am sure a lot of shareholders are observing quietlyand it's nice to see an oilie with a good story to tell that you don't have to worry about too muchhope I haven't jinxed it now!

Re: WHAT PREVENTS A TAKEOVER BID? I'm no expert on oil shares but I don't think anything stops a takeover of Faroe. In fact I'm anticipating one in due course from Statoil or a similar company with interests on the Norwegian continental shelf.

WHAT PREVENTS A TAKEOVER BID? Just wanted to ask those who have a greater knowledge than I, what factors prevent a takeover bid for Faroe? Is it the tax arrangements for smaller companies?

Re: Incident One person died, even if it was on the Mærsk rig and a Mærsk person who died - this is not good news for FP. Safty standard is high in Norway and all incident must be taken serious, even if nobody dies or get injuired[link]

Oil to Cake Enjoying the recent rise, and still has an awful lot further to go. (IMO)Hived off a profit portion on holding (25,000) and bought cake... LOLFIF (Finsbury Food Group) report Monday and I am encouraged by the recent trading update, Director purchases, and proposed closure of loss making site.Whats the saying about cake and eating it? LOL
