Re: Petra has problems FDI operate in Lesotho...The non-core mine/licence in Botswana is still up for sale as I understand it.I'm staying in with FDI for the long term - I couldn't bear to be out if they finally announce some very good diamond finds. So far, the mine output is close to expectations, albeit with little access yet to the best K5 zone... The last news did not reduce the output forecast for the kimberlite as a whole, just a change to the mining plan whilst they are still at the top & removing quite a lot of waste covering and around for access.

Re: Another month... Mind you don't look too far back at WRES chart ( say a year ago ) or you might be a tad disappointed.

Re: Another month... Selling at a loss is always the hardest move gliderpilot - when it dropped below 43p it was a definite sell but now we don't know where it will turn around but we know it will. Could sell today and it could turn around tomorrow. My take is that the trend is down and there is no reason to see why that trend won't continue. When this trend stops it will be obvious and hopefully it will do a WRES - take a look at the chart there and I think you will see what the FDI future looks like. I missed out on the first bounce there but waited for the inevitable re-trace - didn't hold all the way down and didn't get the first uplift so missed .25p to .35p but got in for .3p to .44p and hopefully higher. I look here every day for a few seconds waiting for that WRES like turnaround - no need to hold them in the meantime IMO. Don't blame me though if you sell and the next day they release a big gem find - that's part of the risk of being out.

Another month... ...to the next update. No news of significant finds during this quarter so the sales figures will be revealing. Must admit I'm thinking of joining the exodus. As has been said it's becoming a wealth destroyer. The volumes however are still low so no sign of the big holders deserting.Fear and greed, which one will win?

Re: Petra has problems The downtrend here is a real killer of wealth Badgorex - steady relentless giving up by the LTH's on the FDI success story. It won't last forever and the turnaround could be swift. Try and tuck away some cash for the low point so you can enjoy some profits on the way back up as well as recouping losses. It's a chance to turn a losing situation into a win win. Good luck - will be back when I have bought some - watching and waiting - seems like an eternity but patience will be rewarded here I think.

Re: Petra has problems Diamond miners per say have all been on a down trend. Check out all the charts on those i mentioned.Summer doldrums maybe, heavy rains in the region and political worries.FDI have news flow that has impacted the price as do Petra Lucara are upgrading their production plant. I am in for the very long term so not worried about day to day gyrations.

Re: Petra has problems That is today's news on petra and there share price fell heavily. But this one is no change today. So it has not had an effect as yet, why has this one been falling before today ?

BADDOGREX3 11 Sep 2017

Petra has problems The Tansanian Government hold a 25% share of Petra and are kicking up because they seem to think there is some sort of slight of hand going on.Check out the site. This sort of issue may have an effect on sentiment towards FDI .Although FDI operate in Botswana the Government holds a share in their business and that is a possible cause for concern.

Re: volume has jumped Volume fell back again today Badgorex - but it could be the beginning of the end of the fall - too early to tell yet. Gap up to 36 to be filled but trend is still firmly down - until it stops - increased volume may well stop the fall. Watching and waiting. Good Luck.

I have held shares since 2012 and have added when others sold based on following this company for the possible potential, then today I checked out Barchart [link] the general opinion is a 100% buy across the short, medium and long term indicators, then look at the Broker's target's re-read the 20th July RNS, things will start to move in the Q!-2 2017 I just wish I had added more that I did last October but still 49.6% up at this stage I can't really moan.
