Where does GLEN's revenue come from? Eadwig: I just added this in mainly for @PrefInvestor1 who has opened a position recently in GLEN at a very good price. Thanks @Eadwig. Much appreciated.

Where does GLEN's revenue come from? How will the coronavirus affect the mining sector as demand in China, and perhaps elsewhere later, drops. The copper price had been recovering very well, with stocks at multi-year lows, but has been knocked down by nearly 10% as 40%-50% of global demand is taken up by China. Global demand figures for oil have dropped sharply also as a result of 20% fall in demand in China and so has the price therefore. Miners use huge amounts of diesel so at least that is a silver lining in the sort of global slowdown this virus may bring on. The recent rumours of a deal with Tesla to provide cobalt for batteries is the sort of catalyst GLEN had previously expected before now and should help cancel out the problems in that area. I expect Cobalt to become a large enough |revenue stream in itself in years to come to be counted separately in a list such as that below. If there is a global slowdown and price falls, typically GLEN will bring forward planned shutdown maintenance periods and upgrades designed to bring down production costs. They prefer to do this leaving reserves in the ground until such a time as prices return to give them reasonable margins. That can only buy so much time, of course. Thermal Coal production remains a problem as more and more funders become actively hostile to fossil fuels and GLEN’s capping of production at last year’s level may not be anough to appease lenders when they next return to the market to renew loans etc. A handy quick check on GLEN’s EBITDA revenue sources I’ve always found useful as a break down of their core areas, which now looks like this going into 2020: Copper 29% Marketing (Trading) 23% Coal 25% Zinc 14% Nickel 6% Other (inc. Lead, Cobalt, Alumina, ferroalloys and oil) 4% Results for the full year 2019 are due shortly and the above figures will probably adjust to some extent. P.S. I just added this in mainly for @PrefInvestor1 who has opened a position recently in GLEN at a very good price. I continue to hold GLEN as one of my biggest holdings across both my trading and SIPP accounts but have always said I’d rather be holding nearer to 200p than 300p with this company (which I am). I continue to trade them regularly as I attempt to reach @200p average holding price. Currently I’m holding @214p in my SIPP and @231p in my trading account.

Double Top - Recognia Antofagasta PLC forms bearish “Diamond Top” chart pattern Dec 03, 2019 Recognia has detected a “Diamond Top” chart pattern formed on Antofagasta PLC (ANTO:LSE). This bearish signal indicates that the stock price may fall from the close of 845.20 to the range of 644.00 - 681.00. The pattern formed over 111 days which is roughly the period of time in which the target price range may be achieved, according to standard principles of technical analysis. Tells Me: The price seems to have reached a top, showing signs of reversal as it has broken downward after a period of uncertainty or consolidation. The Diamond Top pattern begins during an uptrend as prices create higher highs and lower lows in a broadening pattern. Then the trading range gradually narrows after the highs peak and the lows start trending upward. When the price breaks downward out of the diamonds boundary lines, it marks a significant reversal to a new downtrend. This bearish pattern can be seen on the following chart and was detected by Trading Central proprietary pattern recognition technology. image.png605x532 15.8 KB

Re: Where is everybody - Soi? Good Morning Casa.Hope all well with you. My apologies for delay in reply. The problems I have had would make for a long list, have posted quite some complaining posts on iii LLOY.First day of new platform, was unable to log in at all, all day. Many phone calls, many failed promises.Worked afterwards but hardly a day goes by where the platform does not fail at some point in the day. Also, if I place a limit sell order on a stock line then deice I want to sell manually live, I`m unable to do so without first cancelling the limit order, slows me down.Trade history also cumbersome and slow, sometimes takes until the next day for a transaction to be confirmed. The spreads seem to have widened.I could go on......ATBsoi

Re: Where is everybody - Soi? Hello soi,I hope you are well and the New Year has been good so far. I was interested to read that you were not pleased with the new ii platform. I have put my feelings down to my low IQ on information technology. I don't seem to be able to switch from the trading platform to the bb's like I could before. The information on the trading side has been reduced. The chart on each stock is limited to three months. The stocks I hold sometimes show movements that are totally inaccurate and the initial purchase price is no longer shown. But maybe it's me. Perhaps all this info is there but I haven't found it yet. Recently, I could not log in to the trading account even though I had put the correct password in. I found something on the site allowing me to state my problem. They promised me an e-mail which I received promptly recommending that I LOG IN and communicate via the secure message system. ARGHH! I tried later and was successfully logged in. I am getting used to the system but I don't feel that it is a big improvement. I cannot see the point of two passwords. If you have an account, that password should be sufficient to allow access to the bb's imo. What are you issues please?Casa.
