Emerald Carrot... 19 May |
Market cap down to £240 million. We have:-15% of the North Sea Catcher oil discovery.25% of North sea Kraken oil discovery.6% of north Sea Mariner oil discovery.Interesting document about Mariner: [link]%20Documents/UK/Oil%20&%20Gas/Mariner%20Project.pdfSeems to me NPE is probably worth more than double the current sp. I have been saying for some time NPE is likely to get bought and that view has not changed. An offer of say £5 per share would be difficult for the board to fend off considering the share price performance over the last 6 months or so. If the other North Sea oil producers are doing their job (producers should be AWASH with money considering the oil price) they should be considering making a bid here as NPE is obviously severely undervalued in my opinion. All IMHO. IRC5 Maybe leave it this week, see what happens over the weekend and into next!! You might get in at a lower price!! But don't leave it too long IMO |

Steptoe My thoughts for investing here are simple!! Check back my recent posts!! 711 has just spudded, although maybe it did not go to plan, and I expected a bit of a sell off! But all going well now IMO !! There will be some interest from the city as soon as the charts point to some positive sentiment !! 250p looks like bottom, but I doubt it will see it! I am looking to invest heavily into here next week if the markets improve a bit!! Which I think they will!!!!! Yes I am from Scotland - Aberdeen, or just outside it actually. ~ $L ~ |

Scotslass Tempted to move something across to this. Trouble is now could do with RRL or RMP recovering a bit and that could take a while. Had a free carry on CHAR that I could use I suppose - decisions, decisions DP was posted on GG's forum yesterday |

IRC5 Good morning.. Holding up a bit better this morning. There is someone accumulating these on a daily basis!! I do strongly doubt we will see 250p as bottom!! What a bargain though if we strike.. ScotsLass |

Morning guys OT Interesting that PL felt he had to comment further on RRL / RMP |

IRC5 Yeah I suspect as I said on the boards and was largely ignored that this first drill was to target all posiible sands and the next will be to target the viable sands at thier thickest. The drop presents good opportunities for share buy backs at cheap prices but as cynical as I am, the companies goals are not the same as ours and thier timeframes are years down the road. So I'm of the view this is very positive just like the Catcher and NPE early drills were. We had at least two drills on edges of discoveries just not the drops seen by todays ill informed investors and we never had a financial climate like we do now. |

AGI1 Not sure I was much better when I started but you had (and have) loads of street cred when I first discovered LSE. Most of what little I know about reading the market I probably learned from you. I have retained a fair chunk of RRL and will see this storm out - wish I had not been tempted into RMP but not a huge holding and as you say all is far from lost. Think Dogpog took a bit of a pasting in his ISA and spread bet accounts but he too views the news as positive (although is suspicious about the way the news is being delivered). |

IRC5 I grabbed a tranche of RRL and RMP, would have been rude not to, carnage over there. Were we ever as illinformed of oil exploration as many of the new investors seem to be? Sheer panic going on. I think when we started we were all trying to learn as much as possible as quickly as possible. Didn't think we were ever that bad. |

IRC5 Thanks. Yeah at least a day or two a week until I'm back with larger holdings |

AGI1 Hi welcome back Yes you have been sorely missed - good to hear you have done well over the last year. Are you expecting to be a regular poster again or are you just passing through |

scotslass Yeah I think it will. I had a great break away from all the doom and gloom of the markets Got my work on the house almost finished too. Been a good year. Doubled my money on my Gold too so I was happy with that. How are you? markets been good to you I hope? I'm awaiting a buy in on Lloyds and here. I suspect end 2012, start of 2013 will see the same trading conditions we enjoyed in 2008/9 with renewed optimism in the markets but all depends what Greece does though in the next month. |
