RE: Grades question I think they'll want to drill a few holes first tbh but for reference, have a nosey at this: [link] It's semi off topic, semi on but will let you see what existing mines typically hold with an average gold grade of around only 1g/t so in reality they need next to f*ck all to be economical, this is factual, not the BS you often read on these boards, ignore the keyboard warriors, work with fact. Also then consider that deposits are often calculated as gold "equivalent" as this incorporates other mineralisation encountered. Interestingly the grades at Soledad previous found in breccia one were fantastic with economical gold grades, amazing copper grades (1% is great but the 1.8% encountered there is almost double that) and let's not forget the three figure silver grades which are also great for a bit of a brucey bonus

RE: Grades question Hi Tilly - any more info as to the grades required at Soledad to be economically viable or any pointers as to where I could go digging for this (no pun intended

Late Buy Shows Just as I thought in my 09.32 posting this morning a couple of £20K + buys showing up late in the day I think this is just the tip of the iceberg tomorrow will be a very interesting day with my thinking we will see a close of 4p + ( only my conclusion ) but we surely but slowly going in the right direction

RE: BAM BAM!! Well they're time stamped quite late on on the day so either the mm's took the order and only just filled it and logged them now hence the trades or... We've still not seen the trade/s from 8:45, either way it bodes well and looking at the prices going into close, some of those "buys" we're actually sells which means that the screen prices are wrong and the bid at 3.6 is incorrect and in reality we're up more than 2% and so I suspect we will gap up slightly in the morning it's all good!

RE: Stop shorting PETITION Tilly, With respect, as you brought the matter back up, can I just say that :- a) the FCA/FSA have responded to peoples' emails already, b) the problem on the 'other board' was caused by large scale organised shorting from overseas, not from a rogue publication/report. c) Many European countries have already banned shorting including Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Italy and Belgium if I remember correctly. d) Large organisations in the FTSE suffer from this too, e.g. the banks and Glencore. As far as I can tell, organised shorting and hedging can happen to any quoted company. MArlers, if any of my facts are wrong then please feel free to correct me. For up-to-date info. please check [link] . This site is updated at 5pm daily. Shorts below 5% of issued shares in a company are not required to be registered. GLA and sorry for O/T guys.

Hey all, lunch break! Well I think I was right this morning with my 8:45am large buy comment, notice how the SP then jumped up a few percent? I think we'll see a £20k+ delayed buy land later on at some point

RE: Stop shorting PETITION It helps if the petition is even relevant in all honesty... It shows how little people know about our financial instituions. The FSA has long been replaced with the FCA and new legislations came into effect as of the start of this month across the board but hey ho, whatever. Back on topic now

RE: Stop shorting PETITION Well done all. Pass the link to friends and family. Germany are leading Europe with a strong economy and they've banned shorting, wonder why? It's obvious really, it's holding growth for small businesses. We need to follow thier example..... Will the Gov listen? Don't know, but we have a voice and can only try. [link]

RAMPING....... Does anyone know the reason why today ramping is going on across all the message boards for other shares..........By the way, TALV is steady this morning (but bearish) but will re-rate after April 30 (IMO) (DYOR) (GLA).What ever happened to MARL by the way..........news soon here i guess....(sell on news again??!!)
