Cat and mouse Real tom and jerry stuff lined up for today then.Traders will be disappointed that the real action looks to be intra-day (2.30pm).What's the betting that Genel's Website goes down lol?The timing of 2.30pm and the decision of issuing the presentation at that point rather than ahead of the meeting certainly seems 'planned'.I just wonder if Genel have some sensitive news that might involve a US super major?We know they are planning to announce details on the pipeline plans. What if Hayward says Chevron or another US player are partnering them?Remember - GKP are not the only belle at the ball. Genel are more advanced in terms of their production plans and share the same interests in BB. They also have a large wedge of cash in the bank.I suspect we'll see some fund and games this morning and then a return to normality ahead of the 2.30pm announcement. A simplistic view I don't profess to know anything about these matters but think we can expect a tough time this morning. Not entirely sure why TH would choose 2.30pm for his presentation and I am sure it is unconnected to what is going on with our share price but it will certainly help the market makers. The fact remains that based on what we know of Shaikan and what we still expect our share price is still low. The Genel RNS this morning mentions an ops update. you are not telling me TH is gathering the great and the good from the oil and Gas investment world together to advise he has just thrown a huge amount of money down an empty hole. It look nasty this morning but don't get spooked. As I say in the heading this is a simplistic view from a small time PI. Been in a long time and seen plenty of drops I remain convinced that yesterdays was on the basis that news was due and it would be easy to spook people out of their shares. No one said it would be easy holding until takeover, I think over the next few hours we might get an idea of how tough the investment business can bee. |

Got to say I've been convinced that the market gets to see any limit orders for some time.Since then I've been placing stops at levels that would benefit me, and not anyone manipulating the market.So for today, I've got a buy order at £3.20 and a sell at £100. Flumps Morning. I think I`m correct in stating that price sensitive information cannot be disclosed at a presentation like this as the people at the meeting would have an advantage over those not at the meeting.....has to be in RNS? Anyone? |
