From Don777 on Advfn and my reply. """"""""""""" there is a question here you might want to know the answer. according to RNS on 10/2, FRR located 80M shares to YA, more than 3% of FRR. and it's tradable on 16/2, but on 17/2 updated holdings, and reply from Liz, YA is not on the list. the trade volume on 16th, 17th is not high, so where did YA do with them? or sold at least 20M of them right away for 10-20% profit and later shown on 20th? it might explain the drop here."""""""""" Don777 Your hypothesis that YA off loaded 20mil odd shares is very possible. YA are a highly geared outfit that thrive on risk/reward. The fact that they could have reduced there epxosure within days worked well for them. There has been a background seller for some while which has kept this depressed, but what is more notable is the fact that the buyer is taking out larger chunks now. For me, this is a sign that they are keen to accumulcate their target holding quickly. Why, well perhaps they are aware of some news that we are not privy too, secondly, they are aware that the retail shares in free float as such are getting very short and with both the sp will increase rapidly. All imho, but possible no less GRA |

IT "sooty that is a load of rubbish you've just spouted out" That's abusive enough. I don't mind someone having a different point of view, as long as there is some sense behind it. In Hermes case I struggle to find ANY sense whatsoever. Research won't make me money yet no research will? I have to wait until every man and his dog want to buy shares in a company before I do? I don't think I'll be missing any important balanced arguments from Hermes. |
|
InformedTrader 04:38 |
S&S Sooty why do you filter anyone that has a different point of view to you? I can understand if they are abusive but you will end up with a very onesided view point bb and actually may miss some important balanced arguments, no value to the board just curious! |

Hermes What a plank. "Research, second point, no matter how much research you do in a company, it will not make you money, why because it is the market that decides the sp" Gawd, some mothers do have 'em. |

Hermes "sooty that is a load of rubbish you've just spouted out, complete opposite. if there is no volume noone wants to buy no matter what the charts say, if there's no volume it aint going to move north n you'll be stuck in a stock nobody knows about or wants, so what do you do, you ramp it up, get people interested in it." ...There was no volume in WSG before the trading update last month. That's when people like me were buying, not after the recent $150m contract news. Hermes....muppet, you are filtered!! |

TOATIE YOU THINK 30P POSSIBLE? WITH over 2bn shares in circulation. think 2p by end of year |
|
toatie 01:42 |
hermes why wouldn't you invest in frr shares as i personally think that these shares will come good some time later on this year maybe rise to 20 or 30p in my opinion but will just have to wait and see cheers. |

Re: SP just turned +ve 4 TOT Hi Mikey,Been a busy boy so please excuse the tardy reply. That was one hell of a bear raid on GKP today, so I took the oportunity to make a small addition to my stash just before the close.I had a really bad run with a lot of my stocks too, from last April up until December but have had one hell of a run since so I hope you recover all your lost ground too in due course. I think your timing here could not have been much better but agree that the road to the 8p broker target is likely to be a slow one. My own target is 4p by the end of the year since I really don't think the directors would have put so much into the retructuring at that level (and more subsequently) if they thought that they would have to wait years to see a return on it.. With any luck it will come sooner that that given the way the oil price is moving, but if they want to start gathering some momentum they really should try to update the market a little more often on progress at the wells!Regards,Tot the old trout |

harperlee Agreed, what is very interesting to note that the buys are getting larger, whilst the seller has re-appeared today, the buyer/s have increased the volume of each purchase. This, for me, is a sign that the buy/sell transfer is coming to an end. Each day this happens the less retail shares are available and the greater the 'greed will be to grab those shares that are out there! The time where the sp rises to facilicate this is here!! Flightman, hope all ok your end!! Will happily share a beer or glass of wine when the day comes !! GRA |

Today Happy with the sp and continued volume/momentum today, some big big buys, the sells are all getting absorbed and most importantly the sp is slowly moving up with them which is why we are all here. ATB |

aj sorry thought you were new, just read your post, you have experience but in the majors, not aim. Works differently than majors, manipulation in aim. |

Hermes 22 Feb |
typo sorry wrote it too fast, 'research will make you money but is not a guarantee you will make money especially if it is an exploration company. |

sooty that is a load of rubbish you've just spouted out, complete opposite. aj-pad, seems like you want to trade rather than invest. Go to general chat of lse, look out for Grayslands posts and GedW, they are savy traders. If you are an invester, then research you must be very thorough with. If it is a good company with good prospects then it is a good idea to get in early BUT if there is no volume noone wants to buy no matter what the charts say, if there's no volume it aint going to move north n you'll be stuck in a stock nobody knows about or wants, so what do you do, you ramp it up, get people interested in it. Research, second point, no matter how much research you do in a company, it will not make you money, why because it is the market that decides the sp, if it is an exploration company, nobody knows what the results are going to be until they explore. Once you learn how the mkt works and what makes it moves etc, then you will be able to make money inbetween news, this is where the charts come in. frr - wouldn't invest in this stock but it is good to trade the swings, there is a reason why it has dropped significantly, look into it. Look into GKP, it is on a freefall atm, if you time your entry right, you will make money out of it. Matad is on the move too. Sorry but you're asking for advice on trading etc on the FRR board, watch who you listen to. The rest of the people on the board, I will leave now, not going to argue with sooty, sorry to offend. |

sootyandsweep, theprodigy Cheers, Will take your advice on board, I have been reading through a few books and playing around, but I want to make some seroius money now. I have been following the banks for months now, taking small profits where I can. But I know big money is in the high risk stuff. Made a tidy profit on LEG last few days, just looking for the next 10%-15% wherever I can get them. Put a small amount in TSCO. was expecting a couple of small jumps up but hasnt happened yet. Will have to wait a little longer but i believe up to 330 again will happen shortly. mind you looks like pants today! |

aj_pad Probably the best advice I could give you if you are new to trading/investing is to figure out who knows what they're talking about. There's an awful lot of rubbish posted by people who obviously know little and do no research. It's research that will make you money, not what you read on bulletin boards, although sifting the wheat from the chaff will help. It also pays to invest in what no one else wants then you can at least get the volume you want in quiet times. |

I also use LSE, Yahoo Finance and moneyAM to see live trades, Britishbulls to see computer generated suggestion based on candlestick chart -24hours behind. Iweb for company information/research. shareprice.co.uk. I was also looking at some android applications for a mobile tablet which i thought might be useful |
