Prose Yes. Personally I think FOGL is at win-win situation.... |

KK At Loligo the study work of BHP concluded that the shallow targets were more likely gas/condensate and the deeper targets oil. Which is why FOGL did the recent fund raising to ensure they can drill the deep targets as well, as that is where the highest expectation of an oil find is. Of course, should Darwin and Stebbing both be condensate then already, before Loligo spuds, there will be enough oil and gas to make an LNG plant viable - meaning that any Loligo find of gas condensate just adds to the pot. Which is why I say FOGL is in a unique position - BOR are doing the hard work and making oil and gas viable, before FOGL starts.......... |
|
King.Khan 19 May |
Prose That's true.. & now with Darwin result it is highly expected that Stebbing will also be Gas Discovery! If Stebbing discover Gas then Both Stebbing & Darwinw will likely be commercial but still Darwin will need to appraise 1/2 wells. I was reading some broker comments & it was saying that Lolligo may also be Gas bearing sand after Darwin result. |
|
Proselenes 19 May |
arwin Is the smallest of the 4 drills, which is why it had to be oil to be viable on its own. Stebbing is big enough to be viable as gas and of course would make Darwin commercial too........ so its all to play for. |

J BOR current well is expected to reach TD by end of June & Then 1/2 week RIG to move to Lolligo. I am expecting Lolligo spud in mid-june & result Mid-sept |

Hermas Yes, That's true that Gas is more expensive to extract. That's obvious every FOGL holder will wish for Oil discovery but my point was that even If it discover GAS, market will take is positive, It won't be same case as BOR. (I also want Oil & £46/sh target price). Reason for BOR drop on Gas Discovery is due to the size of Darwin, It is not that big as Lolligo & BOR may require more appraisal well to commercialize darwin Gas Prospect. But Lolligo itself is sooo big that single Gas Discovery at Lolligo will make it Commercial Discovery! 30 TCF where as min. requirement for Commercial is 5 TCF. There will be no need for appraisal. For Oil Discovery, I am looking for £10-15 per share & on Gas Discovery I am expecting £5-8 per share! Remember Lolligo Oil equal to £95/share net to FOGL |

ates Hi everyone Can someone update me with when are we due to spud the wel for Loligo? And do we have any idea on what we are likely to strike either gas or oil? With all this euro shait happening are we likely to see delays in RNS, specialy if the euro shait kicks off close to anouncing results etc? Thanks DJ |

Sell in May Sold my non-oil portfolio today for a 34% profit since 1st January. Don't want the Eurozone to cost me. Problem is it is in an ISA so I cannot invest any of it in FOGL. Only way is if I spread bet I suppose and draw on it if needed? |

Re: Merchant Securities [link]-bin/sharecast/story.cgi?story_id=20107756 Broker snap: Merchant Secs initiates Falkland Oil at buy Fri 18 May 2012 FOGL - Falkland Oil & Gas Ltd. ................ LONDON (SHARECAST) - In a research note issued this morning analysts at Merchant Securities initiate coverage of Falklands Oil and Gas with a buy recommendation and a 400p price target. For them this company, holds the best exploration acreage in the Falkland Islands because its prospects are larger than elsewhere, yet we believe the exploration risks are not greater than elsewhere in the region. More specifically, they believe that the Loligo prospect is likely to be a condensate prospect, just as the Borders & Southern discovery at Darwin was a condensate discovery. They have modelled the prospect based on their estimate that, if successful, it could produce 2.0bn barrels of condensate, which compares to FOGLs estimate of 4.7bn barrels of oil equivalent. Loligo is likely to commence drilling around the end of June or early July 2012 with results announced about 8 weeks later. As well, they anticipate a pre-drill catalyst in that they expect that prior to drilling Loligo the company will farm out 25% of its licence areas to a currently undisclosed party pursuant to a farm-in option agreement. FOGL would receive $60m in cash if the option is exercised in accordance with the base case of the agreement........... Pro_S2009 |

khan someone said it costs more to get gas in production, will it not. I still want oil not gas, oil will shoot it up, not sure about gas. |

Condensate and Farm In - Loligo So, on the positive side, Merchant Securities initiate a buy recommendation and 400p price target on the basis of estimated 2.0bn barrels of condensate and they don't think that the Indians are the hidden party in the Farm-In. More grist to the speculation mill. |

Hermas With Gas Discovery, It won't drop because Lolligo itself is soo big that there won;t be issue for commercialization. Lolligo Gas prospect is 30 TCF & min. Requirement for commercial Gas Disc is 5 TCF. Even with Gas Discovery, I am expecting £3-4. Reason BOR dropped on Gas Discovery was it was not sure either qty will be commercial or not! |

****er FOGL investor presentation suggests LOLLIGO net worth £75/sh to FOGL, whereas Proactive Investors set target price of £95/share on Lolligo success whereas other article suggests £46/sh on success. My realistic target price: £10/sh on Success Even Gas Discovery in Lolligo will be Commercial! |
