Re: Macquarie Bank have most to gain And all that's happened since the "for sale" announcement is a progressive drop in the share price...Can't see any incentive to buy more EME shares right now, so I guess the SP will continue to drop until there is some news.

Consolidation and SEEKING ALPHA I think EME has been in a consolidation phase since that Seeking Alpha article below from "Value Digger", when he recommended another Eagle Ford play (Lonestar Resources - LNREF): [link] The thing is that Value Digger's latest "Top Idea" article is about Epsilon Energy (EPSEF) that drills the sweet spot of the Marcellus shale. This "Top Idea" below was out this morning and he sees again triple digit potential return from EPSEF same like LNREF. We will see. [link] My question is whether there is any possibility for EME to increase its tiny exposure to the Eagle Ford play. Is there any ?

Still too quiet I hope we don't get dissapointed here. What's wrong with just letting Marathon do the business for us? The track record of the so called management here is frankly not so good. Historicaly the sp was at £1.40 and was only rescued by Marathons efforts. All they have to do is sit back and watch the company value double? Too simple by half or do they have a cunning plan? We shall see.

Directors chequemate, I have been here since the highs of 65p and the lows of 3p, there is no need for the directors to fill their boots they have a huge amount of options to take up and they have plenty of time to do so I think it is 4 months following the published accounts. Should it be sold they will take them up, most at 8p and that will be it, personally I would like to see us drill the AC out and get cash in with a dividend and therefore have the option of selling at some point but is we get north of 30p - 35p then I will be happy

CM. Good morning, Yes I am a bit cynical at times and like yourself and other aim investors I am able to quote companies that have just 'shape changed' leaving the PI's high and dry. It is the nature of the human being to look after himself and his own first. When the shape change happens the directors always do well one way or another. Buy more or get out are the options here. Marathon have turned this company round and I myself am not too sure what might happen without them. We shall see of course, a sell off and a good deal for the shareholder or something less desirable? Whatever it is, it is happening and at the end of the day I would expect us all to be smiling as we are holding a proven cash cow. However I do have some negative 'vibes' as the board is quiet, no great volumes being traded, no news, and rightly or wrongly I do feel that we might just be in the dark as usual. I hope I am wrong of course and that OUR best interests are being well cared for by a concerned BOD. gl.

roker You sound like you have been invested in EME for some time and have some experience of what has happened in the past, whereas I have only been invested since March. I understand your views but I think they may be a little cynical. I don't think we can expect any news in the immediate future as I think this the way of things under such circumstances. There has been no evidence of the directors filling their boots (as yet, as far as I am aware). I just hope that if there is a sale/take over then it will be at a decent price and not the farce it was when I was invested in another company when investors were offered so much a share plus so many shares in the company taking over. It turned out to be a no win situation and I sold out before the takeover went through. Made some profit overall, but I would have made a good deal more had I sold on the rumour and not on the fact. I'd prefer straight cash personally. We'll see what happens. Good luck and regards CM

Too quiet by half here. A lot of table bashing going on somewhere and in true eme style we will know nothing about it until it is done and dusted. Expect news once the markets close, or when there is no chance of bailing out or buying more. The silence coupled with all and sundry filling in forms of one sort or another smacks of intrigue, skullduggery, and directors filling their boots as usual. We shall see of course but a good crystal ball would be most welcome to help see which way next. My own guess is that the golden goose will be sold off, and the proceeds will go towards a bigger and better ivory tower. gl.
